I too liked the ideas of HP linking n such: some really good ideas everyone has so far!

I know not everyone is agreed on one thing but I think it's a matter of perspective; I too played SMN in FFXI ALOT and loved thinking how it could have been better! Bows our chance to revise the old model and retain the awesome parts too!

SMN could very well be the doorway to all other petjob mechanics in FFXIV which is another reason why this discussion is crucial.

Let's face it: there are more of us petjob enthusiasts our there and we deserve a place in FFXIV just as much as the masses of DD, tanking, healing, and nuking clones that will come in the near future.

My main point is; Petjobs always get the back row seats, let us shine and have our turn too this time !

Lol we should agree on the Evoker and SMN both being in game: that way the ppl who don't want to use full potential summons can RP to their hearts content as a Evoker

Beastmaster for pet job?

I like this, Good job Syph! I think a summoner class in any way shape or form would be epic enough though. I wonder if/when this class will be implemented.

On another note: since you brought bst up: I notice an interesting trend: I made a BST thread awhile back and most ppl said BST should only be a DD with nonpet abilities.

Same goes with Dragoons, some would prefer them without a wyvern as a companion and just be DD on their own.

Traditionally that's the only pet job.

Unless you count Puppetmaster, which wasn't playable until XI.
