Dragon Knight isn't really a Dragoon. The original term of Dragoon refers to mounted cavalry. So I imagine Dragoons in FFXIV will be chocobo-riding Lancers.

Please don't give Dragoons wyverns again, I want to be completely centered around jump or at worst my own personal breath attacks like FFTA. I DON'T want to be weakened for the sake of a wyvern again.

so did anyone ever come in and correct the fact that the OP meant pet classes as in SMN, BST, and PUP? not companion pets like little bunnies and chocobos.

Nope, and devs refuse to answer this specifically even though smn is such a huge part of FF would be pretty pathetic not to have them(playable job) in by Ishgard/ps3 release! Haven't heard one word from Yoshi regarding SMN other than we are getting primal fights... but even as cool as that is it's pretty bland/sad without the ability to unlock said summon and use it!!! >.< Doubt we'll ever see a answer on this in the near future...

Edit: Tanaka said wouldn't fit with old system and they basically were flat out too lazy to add pets, had some really lame excuses like they couldn't get the coding done... (Goes to show how horrible they are at programming (the old team)) So no idea why we haven't/can't get a update on this.... SMN is too big of FF iconic lore to ignore :S Anyways just glad we're finally getting choco's xD

God i want another job like PuP was the most unique class in XI.

It's about damn time they got towards Chocobos, they should have been in the game from day 1.
