Monthly fee for 3rd retainer - your thoughts?

Honestly, if I could pay for even more retainers I would. Managing 8 retainers.. /drool

I am desperately in need of storage, but I REFUSE to pay a monthly fee for another retainer. a flat fee maybe, but monthly not gonna happen. and no it is NOTHING like ff11. In ff11 you payed a monthly fee for another character, but you could do everything with second character you could do with first. it was not just for storage. We should have either gotten an account retainer or let us send stuff to our alts.

I hate it when games upsell. I just want to hoard my loot without having to pay a premium. It is one of the things that made me swear off f2p games.
Looks like ill try to enjoy the 60 days i just payed for (not having been aware of this new paid feature) and then forever say goodbye to ffxiv.
It seems that I am at the twilight of my gaming. An old soul just can't survive in this new age of compartmentalized players where advantage is dictated by the depths of one pockets rather than skill and dedication (I know, gold sellers and all that have always been around, but everything has its cancer). I suppose I'll have to take up lawn bowling or something.

p.s. Im only 28

You realize the only thing an extra retainer gets you is more AH slots, more storage, and able to do more retainers. If someone was serious about crafting and needed more AH slots then you would most likely have more than 1 char and using the retainers from them.
