The problem is that there is no such thing as "base battle system". They are working on that as we speak. And the base battle system won't be complete in 1.18 either. Only parts of it, even if they are substantial parts. It's a risky move.

He already stated in an interview that it would be easier (for them) to prepare and release everything at once. But the community is stuck in the mindset that the developers aren't working on the game if we don't see the progress in the live servers too, so what can ya do.

I'm glad to Yoshi is deflecting people who are clamoring for content before the battle changes are finished, adding this stuff would definatly hurt the game and dev time of future changes if they don't get the base system down first.

I was abit harsh on Reinheart some topics ago, and if this information is
accurate (atleast from your translation) then i bow to you.

Some of the information given here feels like a relief to know, then i think i can safely say i'll
be sticking around abit longer with FFXIV after reading this.

Looking forward to the UI, Dunegons, Residence & new Jobs system.
