You should reevaluate your playstyle, ruin 2, aetheric burst, virus, whispering dawn, fey illumination/embrace are actually core abilities of high level sch play, sch pressure (dots/bane) can be extremely punishing to opp healers if the opp team falters in their momenteum. you are just regurgitating what any auto-fairy lustrate spamming pug sch would complain about.

You should reevaluate your playstyle, you have tools to CC your opponent, I play both as rank30 and enjoy scholar gameplay but I must admit that poor scholar reroll easily whm, when a scholar runs the fee is less powerful. If 3 mens harass me, I have no chance to sleep, bind, slow, aoe stun.
Whm have Virus, i guess spam Holy in a packed group is more usefull, i refuse to compare heal capacity (scholar n1 i guess) cause CC and survivability are keys of victory, it's more difficult to kill an whm especially when this heal always run and sleep other healer

Btw whm can sleep other heal so it's by far the most useful class of two. To compare 2 class, let imagine a match between both....

Lustrate is better than benediction, here is why:
Benediction has a very long cooldown so it can only be used 1 per match and you will almost never get the full effectiveness from it due to the delay in it's cast. Since it has such a long delay to activate a lot of times your target will be dead by the time it goes off and to top it off it will still burn your cool down. To counter this you have to use it earlier than you would normally like, if your target is getting focused hard you'll need to fire it off when their HP is around 25% or 30% just to make sure it lands and doesn't get wasted. Firing it off early like that wastes 20% or 25% of the actual heal as overhealing.

Lustrates have a faster cast animation so the heal activates faster, you can use one even when you don't really need to and get away with it because you get 3 per minute (6 at the start of a match). The act of acquiring lustrates gives you mana effectively increasing you sustainability in a long fight.

I agree that whm get better pvp utility abilities, but that can be a detriment at times too. Sometimes people die when your trying to sleep things when you should be healing, if you can't sleep that doesn't happen.

I have over 2000 games played as sch and 1500ish games as whm and i can tell you from experience that sch is much easier to play well than whm.

It's easier for to survive as a sch because of lustrates, adloquiem and eos. When you use attunement as a whm you don't get healed to full like you do as a sch, this is pretty huge in terms of survivablitly. Yes i know you can regen before you attune but at most that is going to heal your for 25% of your health before attune wears off where eos will heal you likely 75% or more of your health.

Survivability being the key to victory, yet you continue to overestimate the worth of a White Mage. Did we suddenly forget about the pet that can top you off when you're locked down, even without Rouse? What about those 6 Lustrates out of the gate and every minute thereafter - did they cease to exist? I'd even go so far as to say DoT spells and damage-dealing capacity are in the favor of the Scholar. Seeing one with Cleric Stance out of the gate is like the mark of a superior Scholar, one utilizing everything it has available to them and playing to the job's strengths.

If the whm can freecast sleep, stone, medica II, holy; you and your team are doing it wrong.
There is absolutely no premade v premade where a WHM can free cast all of the above,
No whm would use swiftcast for medica II over sleep, A whm has regen, fluid aura ~ surecast/kite cure II
The only trump card WHMs have against a 3 man zerg is by stacking sacred soil, regen, equanimity-> heal spam -> attune/bene; remaining cd is fluid aura+surecast which is on a 30second cd.
SCH's have survivability that is easily as viable if not stronger due to shorter cooldowns in the form of lustrate x4-6, rouse, fey illumination -> attune -> embrace spam; all the sch cds are under 2mins
Utilizing 15% virus + aetheric burst OR ruinII you can survive a r30 mrd burst even through fullswing without attunement
Having adlo+ss will also give you somewhat of a safety net against r30 mrd burst if he doesnt crit everything.

At no point in the game should a whm be left freecasting sleep, if he runs over and sleeps you behind LoS, your team has to punish him for doing so or you are already playing from behind. If your comp doesnt have a blm and you are against a whm, the melee/tank should be training the whm the ENTIRE game, you should be surviving enemy burst provided they go for the CC> burst route and pump as much dps after surviving the enemy teams initial cds creating pressure that is bio/bioII/miasma+ranged dps, unhealable from a WHM perspective if his teammates dont purify.

Of course theres a ton of room for outplay between these hypotheticals, but to say that because whm's have sleep and fluid aura they are "by far the most useful class of the two" kinda shows that you either only soloqueue and get stomped repeatedly by 3man farm groups, or you've never played your class to full potential.

tl;dr

you are using 4 pieces of pve over i70 pvp, you have no resist materia, you are using +30mind

It's not the subject but because you seem to use these materia I have a few question. Do you think they are really usefull (i mean compared to regular det, crit and ss materia) ? Do you confirm 1 materia = 2% resist with a cap at 25% ? Do you stack stun and sleep resist ?

There is no prob to use repose with opponents harassing you... As a premade team, whm dont need a blm to sleep scholar 22s then 52s and maybe more, as premade if you cannot win all game against no sleeper team, you are just low I guess. Fact is whm can sleep scholar so with same team it's THE great asset

Resist materia is just a joke, it is no resistance, it only affect duration, with 5 materia (+10) you reduce sleep from 30s to 27s, stun duration with cap reduce from 5s to 4, i dont think that is a good deal with crit/SS/det materia loss
