Stupid comparison.

Housing in the real world is backed by financial institutions, market value, tax structure and asset management, and a necessity.

Can you get a stable loan in ff14 -no (in a stable economy, you outright beat the loan with inflation)
Can you turn your house into asset in ff14 -no
Can you rent/sublet your house in ff14 -no
Can you sell your house in ff14 -no (you maybe able to sell the land...with heavy strings)
Can you revalue your house in ff14 -no
Can you turn your house into an investment in ff14-no

Right now, yoshi says these prices are the price of a "server cost"...which we are paying with real money already... There's something wrong here, unless there really is a hidden stash of super rich FCs.

Not going to happen someone will get the money and buy it cause they want one or to troll the boycotters or to be cool and buy one because no one else is.

I don't need to unsub. I just need to not consume the content I disagree with. Why? because 1 of 2 things will happen:

1. Nothing about the current pricing/structure of the content will change, but SE will see it 'failed' and therefore instead of channeling more development and planning resources into the content no one likes, they will direct their development efforts towards different in game content
2. They will FIX it so people WILL in greater numbers consume and participate in the content.

All you need to do is look at the adjustments made to Warrior/Dungeon EXP/Battle Leve exp to understand this.

Hey boss...not enough people are actively playing in dungeons once they finish the main storylines. What should we do?
...Implement new Duty Roulette+better exp/gil rewards in most dungeons+make FATEs more difficult.

Hey boss...no one is really playing WAR for certain endgame content as they have found a way to make that content easier via doubling up on PLD.
...Lets adjust some of MRD/WAR's skills to make the role more enticing to play and alter some other classes/jobs skills making WAR/MRD more necessary to be included in a party for balanced play.

Hey boss...not near enough players are using their daily leves on battle leves.
Up the exp for them, see if that works.

And while this is a very basic example, no, we do not need to quit to make our opinions on the matter clear...by quitting we'd actually make our opinions LESS clear as they wouldn't know what exactly drove us to quit...but if no one enters the shiny new 'instances' they made for us for this patch over the next 3-6 months...that, that'd be a big clue we don't like the current setup for FC housing.

i don't get you people, u complain about the game being easy and now one thing that will not be easy of getting you still complain, suck it up. i mean i got 3 relics in a month it is easy, finally something hard to obtain,, finally , i will be buying it

I feel like this game is backwards.
Housing should be a casual thing, of course, take time to get it but y'know...I think the best of bestest gear should be hard to obtain
and feel proud of getting. Not logging in a week because of lockouts/caps. The hard thing is doing anything else besides loggin' in a week.
Game battle wise, is too damn easy.
Playing house, shouldn't be hardcore. I'm not willing to go bankrupt over this.

There is a difference between easy and simple. There is also a difference between challenging and outrageously unobtainable by 90% of server populations.
You really want to turn this game into another job, where you have to spend the next 3 month min (24/7) trying to grind up the gil for a small house in the ghetto? I guess you will also be refraining from using your companion or repairing gear.. or upgrading gear as all that will take gil from your end value, turning 3 months into 5.. and then 8.. and then a year.
Oh! And lets not forget the fact that you need another 20-40 other people doing this with you. Otherwise you will be looking at maybe... 2 years. If you are lucky.

Worst case scenario is if most people can't afford the prices, the cost decay system will halve the price eventually. If even the lowest price at that point is still too much, SE can tweak the decay system to make it even lower. Problem solved?

This is gonna be a long day, I think =P

i know what you all mean, and i agree, i agree that obtaning relics should be harder than now and obtaining house should be easier than now, but i just said that i finally have a long term goal in this game that will be hard to obtain
