Maby a few quest leading to company's, or some more task board stuff. That and some minor stuff that will help them implement the big 1.18 patch.
Yoshi-P didn't even expect this update so I guess the finished some things early enough to release, I would not expect alot based on there wasn't suppose to be anything at all.

The reason we won't see any of those things in 1.17b is most likely because they will Begin to show up in 1.18.
1.17b is probably where all the code stuff that we don't see will start to be placed into the game.
Ok, fair enough. I believe the battle changes(auto attack and such), job system, and Grand Company quests won't show up in 1.17b. But I do believe the stuff in bold below COULD show up because they're small in comparison to the battle system, and job system and etc. I just got angry at your post because it seem like you were implying that I was trying to hype people up on false info. I have nothing against people disagreeing with me.

Implementation of improvements to the repair system ( could be no more failing when trying to repair, we don't know yet)

Implement the default setting of class-specific actions when playing as that class, and define conditions for setting the actions of other classes.
Implementation of command centers in the three city-states
Ability to set length of inactivity before log is hidden
Random bug fixes
I expect something great, but if it turns out to be boring tweaking content, I won't get moody and upset.

I expect like as said a lot of behind the scenes stuff that just needs to be downloaded so that 1.18 is not massive. (split it into like 2 350mb's keep server stress down). And out of that we'll just have to see, im fairly sure I saw somewhere recipes will be defiant, i cant remember where, think it was a dev post or I might just be wrong. It was like "new recipes to make craft gear ready for the new contents" or something
Anywho, I expect some very little adjustments, hopefully more server side ones.
