I think most people only check the front page. Letter from the Producer IX has over 100k views total

Lol why don't we wait 'til its actually released before thanking them? they haven't done anything yet, they have given you concepts, much like the Guildleve concept which probably sounded so great on paper and still hasn't been executed well.

I think Matsui did a great job with the battle outline. It looks really good. We will have to wait and see how it's implemented, of course. That'll be the true test, and they know it. But it looks to me like they may have found a way to make individual roles unique and suited to party play while maintaining the viability of solo play. The idea of making the job system specific to party play seems to me like a brilliant solution. If this works out it'll be no small accomplishment.

Again, though, we'll see what happens. I'm excited to find out!

Guild leves were content by the old development team. I'm sure the new one will improve leves and add new ones when more important things are dealt with.

Not my point, my point is when the old dev team created leves on a conceptual level, and reiterated them to us on their website, we were all like "omg sounds awesome" and not many people stuck around for leves...just saying, what are we thanking SE for when the battle system "concept" they gave us, while it sounds good, its vague at best.

Those two lines solidified my resolve for the future of FFXIV. Now for the waiting period.

They're just letting us know that they're working on it :)

we know what they are working on... the post is nothing new and has not a single new information in it...
but its awesome since it gives everyone in the forums new stuff to "assume" and fight about :D.

i expected more, as i did with ffxiv in general but luckily witcher 2 is out now :D

A lot of the stuff was speculated about ended up being in there but it was a lot of new info. For instance, all we knew about the job system before was the name and it would be specialization or advanced classes.
