30 days almost up and I still can't enter endgame due to droprate

not to burst your bubble but I beat Garuda with a lv 34 (or something around that) White weapon on my paladin lv 50.

For a paladin the most important thing is your armor not your weapon. If you want to be "geared" then farm CM for tombs and darklight. If you really want that ifrit blade then do ifrit after every 2 CM runs. Once you have 3 or 4 pieces of darklight you'll be 100% fine for garuda. Once you have most of the darklight set you'll be ready for titan. Your green weapon is perfectly fine for both fights. You are not there to do DPS and while more damage on your weapon will help holding hate you really shouldn't have too much of a problem with that... maybe slight issues on titan but you should have no issues whatsoever on garuda. If your party doesn't do enough dps it isn't your fault it is the DD's fault.

How lucky for you! A group with decently geared people agreed to carry your gimpness through the fight. What's even funnier is that you think this is some kind of accomplishment.

But you go girl, just jump to conclusions without any context.

You could have done Garuda with i55 sword and AK gear, but there's still no guarantee on when the sword would drop.

I've done Ifrit about 80 times and seen a sword drop maybe three of those times. Unfortunately you can't do much about RNG.

if you're not lucky on ifrit. try it on garuda.

And how exactly would the context change the outcome? A severely undergeared player defeating Garuda HM is being carried. No context will change that.

While Ifrit's sword is not necessary to continue and defeat Garuda {never got it either}, a PLDs weapon does have a larger impact on holding hate than may know. The upgrade from GC to Ifrit is negligible for sure, but the more damage a PLD does with their enmity attacks the better!

I got 99 problems and ifrit's sword ain't one.

Funny thing is I'm a WAR. I have seen more swords drop than any other weapon. I also have the SCH and MNK weapons too. All three from greed lotting. I wish the drop rate for that axe were the same for me.

PS the weapons are important to tanks, because when you go into AK with geared DPS, holding mobs can become an issue.
