I agree completely with your first statement. I'm a new player on a legacy server, right now I have about 7mil but most of that I made early on in the game and before the prices of philo stuff plummted. As I said in another post, people who made money pre 2.0 and people who made money before the philo price drop are pretty set, but anyone trying to make money *now* is going to make substantially less so these prices for plots that were inflated from older players make housing just totally out of reach unless you are in a huge FC or you play 10+ hours a day.

no one came into 2.0 loaded because a large chunk of our gil was removed. I had 3 million gil before 2.0 and I walked into 2.0 with only 300k. Why do you keep trying to find ways to blame legacy people? Blame the devs if you don't like the way the game is, not players that havn't done anything but try to enjoy the game the best they can. And I'm not even legacy, I refused to pay for services I wasn't going to be using so no gobbie mount and no legacy chocobo for me, but I am not even mad. lol

Why does everyone in this game want things handed to them for next to nothing. I cannot afford a house for my FC at this point in time but now I have a goal to work towards. I worked very hard to earn my Gil and will now work harder to make more gil to afford the housing features. Stop whining and go make money in the game. It is a RP game after all and lets face it, not everyone should be able to afford a home. That's why there are inn's across the realm. As to Yoshi's comment about the new users on Legacy servers, sorry about your luck, the world was labeled legacy when you created a character on it.

very badly is a understatement , its the worst possible way and a example to all games how to not introduce new features, tease people for months with it , then release it but make it out of reach for most , like that people are just pissed of and not introducing house at all would be smarter ...

In what world does this make sense? how about you simply limit each player account to owning only 1 plot of land. A FC leader will have to make the choice to have either a personal house or a company house.

nope I don't see selling stuff becoming harder because after every update they release new items to craft that will be sold on the market and come on.... houses need to be decorated... if a rich FC can buy a house, I'm sure they have gil left over if they are doing coils and crystal tower, etc. Also they made food less of a pain to use so people will be using food more often.

Exactly. Though I think the leader should get to have 1 FC house and 1 personal house.

I think they're smart enough to know they could have just limited each person to 1 house and made housing affordable but the reality is they don't have the server infrastructure to handle that many instances of housing.

You have had months, you have been plugging the housing system to us for months and months.

Well, thanks Yoshi-san for your time to explain your point of view.

I still don't think it makes any sense though. To start with: all plots snatched up by the rich? Like, you mean, there's no way to restrict buying plots when the FC the player belongs to already has one? Because, in my opinion, that would be the easiest and most straight-forward way to prevent that. If that's so, then I don't see the reason to worry; if it isn't, well... something must've gone wrong at the drawing board there. Furthermore: it's nice that you see how many rich people there are in each world and how big their wealth exactly is. But you should look at the other end too, because there are those who can't make money. And the way things are now, it feels like the poor end of the scale is simply being ignored. Obviously, those who've already piled up insane amounts of gil will have no problem enlarging their wealth even more, while those who couldn't - well, they aren't helped by this arrangement at all, because it's still out of question for them to even get close to catching up.

I understand nobody wants several dozens of housing instances right away, but I don't think this problem has been tackled the right way. Besides, when personal housing is introduced, it's gonna have to happen anyway, regardless of any promise of much cheaper prices.
