More item spaces for the inside, especially in large house, should if followed a sytem be like at least double the amount of what is now... slowly flattening out down to mediom, small and finally fc room/apartment
Some housing request ideas my FC has mentioned and that I also want:
-undo feature. we did not mean to put that in my inventory, only wanted to rotate it! ;-;
-ability to upgrade your house from small to medium to large, through the company workshop
-have glamour chest in FC house
-so many people glitch and float items, it would be nice for this to just be a game feature (loft items in the air)
-You added Bee's Knee's emote, now we just need a Dancing Pole housing furnishing from the BeeHive
I'd like if there was some way to make houses as our home point.
I know there's some technical fandangling involved because houses are not permanent, and can be removed or relocated. Maybe if the game can't find it, it sends you back to your origin city state.
Why not have two home points, one that's set in a location that isn't proven to be erased and the other being at hour house or apartment when you have one.
Actually why not add a third for the last inn you visited for faster loads and that "all just a dream" flavor? :D
Two new features (well three, but I know for certain one has been asked for already) are needed to assist with decorating homes:
1. Preview Interior Remodel and Preview Exterior Remodel. These would be new menu commands directly under Interior Remodel and Exterior Remodel which would allow the user to cycle through and view all available exterior and interior fixtures (walls, roof, awning, chimney, door, light). Everything could be previewed and mixed & matched.
2. The ability to place several items in Preview Indoor Furnishings and Preview Outdoor Furnishings. Maybe a max could be added to this, but even being able to place five items while in preview mode would be a blessing.
Thank you!
Oh, and...
3. Vertical placement with indoor furniture. Please!
Preparing for decorating the fc house for Halloween and once again I'm realising the sheer lack of battered and neglected looking furniture we have.
Those cracked windows are great but we need more to match. I'd love to see:
Ripped curtains
Broken plates and glasses
Cracked mirrors
A crooked chandelier with cobwebs
Very worn out furniture (stained, cracked, cobwebs, ripped cushions, etc)
Crooked paintings with faded portraits
A cracked vase of withered flowers
A pile of dusty tomes
Threadbare rugs
Tables with ripped table cloths or with table cloths that have been patched up
Wooden flooring that looks worn and unstable
Stone flooring with cracked stones
Wallpaper that looks moldy and torn
I do not know if this has already been mentioned though I would like to see Holiday themed Housing Exteriors. I'm talking Candy caned or ginger bread themed homes for Starlight Celebration or Pumpkin, Wizard themed homes for All Saint's Wake. This would help match some of the outside furnishings we get through these events. I also hope to see one day that they add pets to housing. I would love to walk in my home to something that walks up and interacts with us each time.
Can we please have a full set bathroom complete with shower, wash basin, and toilet seat, packaged kinda like an alcove bed furnishing design setup.
I have a great idea: make housing instanced so we don't have to play your horrible 24 hours rng placard timer and stop putting wards thinking it will solve it. Your housing system need to change!
Can we get some actual indoor rocks please? Because as much as I love the puddin set I'm getting heartily sick of having to use it for the 'illusion' of rocks in my builds. Legit, just rocks. Nothing else. No bells and whistles. Just. Rocks. Please?

Also the ability to dye plants please. Plants add so much life to builds and yet we only have verdant green varieties in the game. There's so much more color variety in plants than what we have currently available in housing. And if adding new items is going to be an issue then just adding dye channels to existing ones should be a nice compromise. Though if we could I'd hard push for the dried out plants in Saint Mocianne's Hard because they fit the Halloween aesthetic I wanted to build perfectly.

I would love to have wooden lofts that aren't square in dimension. Assigning a dimension of a 7x7 units square to the current loft based on the design of the grain, I would specifically want ones that are 5x5 units, 5x7 units and 7x5 units (to account for the grain pattern.)
This image shows the current wooden loft on the left with its grain pattern of three strips that are 2 units wide and one strip that is 1 unit wide. The middle two are the proposed 5x7 and 7x5 wooden lofts with the two different grain patterns. And the one on the right is the proposed 5x5 wooden loft with its grain pattern.

I really think that we need to be able to place more housing items into our homes. I've had a small for several years and was finally able to relocate to a medium.
But it's really frustrating to get into decorating and only to realize you won't be able to decorate each floor to the same degree. The rest of the house is going to look so bare.
Also, I'd love the apartments to be expanded to have balconies.
And I think it would be cool to have a new type of housing - Row houses/Townhomes. With two or more floors and a little plot for a garden and maybe a patio. Just so people could have a chance at a house at a lesser cost.
I've said it in many forums already, but an atrium?

Things housing could use:
Better clipping & item placement for sure. It shouldn't take an outside programmer to create a program that addresses & mostly fixes all item placement issues in housing SE isn't willing to.
Rounded, wooden cottage style doors that are dyable
Dyable brick & stone partitions, or atleast more variety
Pre-made cottage style bay windows
Stained glass bay windows
Elegant wooden pillars
Stone loft that matches existing stone in housing (we only have wooden lofts)
More cottage/ whimsical/ european themed items
Windows that have existing scenery & foliage
Vintage style toilets
Floral decorated curtains that are dyable
Spanish/ Bohemian -themed tile floors & walls
Rounded ceilings & lofts/ greenhouse, garden windows that show foliage on other side
Arched Lofts/ Cathedral style ceilings
Lattice windows
Round windows
Raise the item limit for small, medium & large housing & apartments-- or implement a feature that allows you to upgrade your small house to a medoim or medium to a large, without having to compete- a paid license upgrade to an existing house you own.

I would, as FC leader, like to be able to remove other people's Chocobos from the stables. So that we don't have to kick temporarily inactive people from the fc just to be able to remove a furnishing, let alone move house.
Finally got my hands on a small and I'm going design crazy. So here's a little "wishlist" of stuff I think would look really cool. If I have time I'd like to sketch some of these concepts to share!
INDOOR
-Blank Door Partition! (Counterpart to Blank Partitions)
-Purple Rugs from Eulmore
-Red/Pink Rugs from Eulmore
-Ocular Flooring
-More Constellation/Night Sky themed items
-Crystal Ball Tabletop item
-Astrologian Cards Tabletop item
-Robe Rack (for bathrooms)
-More indoor plants!
-More Curtains maybe
-More wall shelves
-Tall/Big display cases
-Kitchen Counters (to expand the "Southern Kitchen")
-Being able to place items on Wooden Lofts without having to glitch them
-Being able to place windows on partitions without having to glitch them
-Stools for Vendors/Retainers to stand on (again, without having to glitch them onto them)
-Stuffed Nidhogg
-Titania Miniature
-Hades Minature
OUTDOOR
-More outdoor flower plots (like the carpet of flowers, but more natural-looking)
-picket fence (preferably one that is not bundled/tied to a specific house model)
-log cabin exterior (The Moogle exterior is cute, but I want a full lumberjack vibe)
-Placeable Minions? Like a petting zoo! (Might be too complicated but it's nice to think about :) )
I'll add my voice to those requests, especially windows placeable on partitions, and loft ans scene working like real floor, meaning you can put standard furnishing on it (bed, chair, table, etc...) and not only tabletop.
Also, id like the white paperwall to be dyable.
And a simple way to set vertical position, because playing with the camera angle is just annoying on playstation
Allow us to kick people from our house, or have a housing blacklist.
I made a thread for this earlier but I realize I should have posted here instead.
I’ll just copy paste then :
More rectangular partitions please!
Hi!
There is only one partition that is half the size of a wall, the white rectangular partition.
It would be nice to have the others partitions in rectangular size as well (blank, verdant, marble, spring, oasis, riviera, glade, hingan...)
I’m making a house design with a closed space under a loft and would love more options of half walls
Thx ♥️
I would like to request a better house buying system that is more friendly to first time buyers, especially with this influx of new players that might want one in the future. And I would also second the request of placing furniture and windows on lofts and partitions without the use of glitches. Thank you and have a nice day.
More item spaces inside houses please, time to upgrade?
Apartment from 100 to 125?
Small from 200 to 250/275?
Medium from 300 to 400/450?
Large from 400 to 800? = it is litterally 3-4 medium houses in one
Also would like to see an upkeep on houses 500K gil per month for a cottage, 1million gil for a Medium and 1.5million gil for a large per month.
I hope we finally get a toilet seat to complete the bathroom fixtures that are already available in-game.
It could also be in an alcove bed-like form that is already packaged with a bathroom sink and shower.
An improved house buying system.
Place able stairs with rails on both sides
Make Limsan, Gridania & Ul'Dah themed stairs so they can be unique in that regard
Place able Curved Stairs
Stone Steps/ Stairs
Eulmoran themed houses; maybe house balloon/ air ships like we see at Eulmore & the outside garden grass is purple/ lilac like in Kholusia
Bay Windows
Dyeable Brick for WALLS
Round, wooden bathtubs to fit a Medieval/ renaissance theme
Lattice Windows
Eulmoran Mosaic Floor & Wall patterns
Rounded Doors/ Cottage Doors
Bookshelf Doors, to give the impression of a hidden room
Shower Curtains
Tudor style walls that we can Raise/ glitch
Terrariums, Window Terrariums, Bird Cages, Pet beds
Witch style/ enchanter House
Modern & Vintage Toilets, Out houses
Arabian & Mongol themed Tents for in-House use
Floral & Printed Curtains
Tapestries
Dwarven Themed Items
Crystal Ball with a Table
Larger Potions & Enchanter Display case
Dyable Cast Iron Fence & Partitions
Weapon & Armor Displays that don't involve a creepy mannequin
Make all items "Table top" bound so it's easier to raise & glitch everything
I would love for a way to give the same ownership authority to my alts on the same server or flat out change ownership to a different character on the account. I feel like that would make sense since we're allowed one personal house per account. I have a small house on what used to be my main and I would love the ability to edit and decorate it on characters I play more nowadays.
EDIT: And also a way to put faux windows on partitions without having to glitch them. And to increase the outdoor furniture limit for small houses by a little so my lawn doesn't look so bare.
I'm new to housing design & have been running into nothing but frustration. Many things require finicky glitches & too much frustration for players. I'm not expecting "The Sims" -- just make thing easier on us!
- Lofts & stages: PLEASE let us put all furnishings on top of lofts & stages. I get that it's difficult to code lofts as both "floor" & "table", so why not code all furniture as "tabletop" instead?
- Let us remove the default pillars, ceiling beams, & windows in a room. Give us toggles for "flat/ceilings" & "no default windows". Better yet, make flat walls/ceilings the default. This option alone will free up item space: almost every designer uses too many partitions/panels to hide default pillars/windows. You'll end a lot of demands for increased housing-item allowance with this one change alone!
- Imitation Windows: Allow these to be placed on partitions.
- Fireplaces/Stoves/Masonwork Stove: code these as "tables/partitions" & let us place wall-mounted & tabletop items on them. Why does the Masonwork Stove have that tempting mantle, if we can't put anything onto it?
- Hit-boxes: almost all the Imitation Windows have nonsensical hit-boxes. This makes targeting other items difficult, if not impossible. There is no reason why imitation windows (Imitation Stained Crystal Ornament, especially!) need huge hit-boxes - I'll have nothing in my field of view BUT a needed item, yet all my mouse will target is the single Imitation Stained Crystal Ornament on the other side of the room.
- Imitation Stained Crystal Ornaments: reduce its hit-box, PLEASE. The moment I place a single one of these, it takes over the whole room & makes targeting anything else near-impossible.
- Allow outdoor furnishings to be used inside. Allow indoor furnishings to be used inside.
- Let us remove the default pillars, ceiling beams, & windows in a room.
- Add Tier 5/6 (larger) Aquariums. I feel sorry for all the T4 fish that are stuck in one position for the rest of their lives.
- Allow every catchable fish to be placed in aquariums. That gives Fishers a viable market & adds much-needed usefulness to that job. Too many fish are flat-out useless, good only to desynth (for yet more Fine Sand). We want to see those purple octopuses & monster squids in all their glory!
- Let us remove the default pillars, ceiling beams, & windows in a room.
- Spiral staircases. Usable Ladders.
- Godzilla/Gojira. I'm surprised that we don't have Gojira as a catchable "fish" already.
- Add "tabletop" coding to all the Housing NPCs. Why make Namazus & Lalafels as Housing NPCs if they can't even be seen over a basic counter?
- Let us remove the default pillars, ceiling beams, & windows in a room. Please.
Another idea:
Cobweb items- place able cobwebs along the walls & corners
ROUND WINDOWS
ROUND DOORS
COTTAGE STYLE WALLS & FURNITURE
ROUND TUBS
RENAISSANCE STYLE FURNITURE
TOILETS
FLORAL/ FILLIGREE CURTAINS
BAY WINDOWS
MAKE ALL ITEMS TABLETOB SO WE CAN FLOAT THEM EASIER
Also: LET US CHANGE DEFAULT PILLARS/ CEILING/ WINDOWS
Host Permits that allow us to place retainers inside the house and have them perform the player's available emotes:
1. Special emotes are continuously played in a loop (e.g. Eastern or Thavnairan dance on a stage).
2. Regular emotes that trigger when a player approaches (similar to how A3 vendors perform the /easternbow emote when players approach).
3. Players can select both types of emotes from a menu, so a retainer may be performing a special emote on loop and interrupt that special emote to perform a regular emote when someone approaches (e.g. retainer does /sit on a chair or /doze on a bed but when someone approaches, they /wave or get up and are taken /aback).
4. In addition to the two types of emotes, players can also specify an /em output for the chat within the host retainer's menu. For example if the retainer is the host in a hotel and uses the tomestone emote, rather than using the standard output "[Retainer Name] swipes excitedly" the player can specify a chat output like "[Retainer Name] checks room availability for <t>."
4. The object title players will see is "Host <<[Name of Retainer]>>."
Outdoor and indoor swimming pools that are dug into the floor/ground.
Rounded Wooden & Stone archway partitions
Round/ circle windows- like a Hobbit home/ bag-end
Round doors
Dyeable brick walls
Round/ circle small Bathtubs- like the wooden ones from the middle ages. It was literally a small, round tub. We don't have that, the ones we have are too big & tacky.
Dwarf/ lalafell sized furniture
Floral Curtains
Bay Windows
Open windows with scenery
Terrariums
Dyable Pillars
Weapon Display's that display any of your unlocked weapons
Weapon displays WITHOUT creepy mannequins
Bigger item limit for all housing
Give small houses Attics/ upper stairs- Allow Small houses to choose between having a basement or an attic/ upper stairs area.
Curved stairs
Stairs with railings
Make all items Table Top
Make future housing instance based.
I challenge any SE dev to try to make a house based on popular designs, so they can know how frustrating their own system is. They're 100% out of touch with the housing community
