It's been brought up repeatedly in this thread and OP has never answered, nor said what they do with their downtime.

Peace out guys, there's no educating the uneducable.
Right, so I'll throw your own words at you:
If healers aren't meant to deal damage because they're assigned the healer role, then this contradicts what is being taught in Hall of the Novice. You also mentioned:
Says who? Even the very basics of the game defies that logic of yours. If having Cleric's Stance on changes the very nature of your role, you'd queue up into Duty Finder as a DPS job and not as a healer. Even your job/role icon doesn't change when you turn Cleric's Stance on. By your logic, I could play Paladin, spam Fast Blade + Riot Blade and cast Clemency whenever and define my "role" as a healer. But you know very well this is pure cattle feces. And I hope you open your eyes as you're displaying signs of cognitive bias.
For the past 67 pages you've been either making biased, unelaborate statements that have no facts to back them. Not even well constructed statements that can be backed by theorycrafting. There are some players who share your own idea of the role. With this alone you could say it's a quantified opinion on this matter. But the opposite party has the very same opinion in quantity as well, thus the quantified sample of opinion holds no water. On one of the first pages you mentioned you wanted an open minded discussion about this. But you've been displaying a severe case of close mindedness yourself. It's almost equivalent of watching an ostrich put their head into the sand with the argument at hand.
Opinions aside, it's a fact that novice hall hints out on the possibility to contribute damage. It's not as black and white as you must or you must not. But it's definitely not the case where healers should not deal any damage as all simply due to their role. Which you seem to be trying to convey for the last 67 pages in both direct and indirect way.
In case you've forgotten, I'd like to remind you on my stance on the healer DPS controversy which I have posted on page 2.
Developer intent doesn't exactly matter much, though. If healers are capable of DPSing (they are), and the content allows them time to DPS (it does), and there's nothing else to fill their time efficiently(there isn't), then DPSing is going to continue to be the best thing to do, no matter what they say. They have many ways to actively curb healer DPS output if they want to. They continue to not do so.
what the hec is this, all gang up on feyona time? Seriousy stop trying to force everyone to be how you want them to be. and personal insults like uneducable is just lowering the tone. Get your group together and go batter something else. Group mentality of 'killing' the minority is very a base way to behave and it doesnt require much in terms of any emotional or psychological developmen tand it certanly doesnt help game play
Dunning-kruger effect right there. And it seems like you did forget what I posted at the very start of the topic.
Edit:
Also, may I point out it's a rather hypocrite statement you're making there. Aren't you also trying to force a certain opinion on others with/in this topic?
