Agreed.
It definitely is looking like you need to have the growing new feathers message to pop up and all these recipes people are posting without that information are just going to be wrong. :(
Everyone should start taking screenshots of their chat log when they add fruit to help keep track easier, too. Instead of being like 'I think I added 20 berries', we need a better way to track.

I can try to make a spreadsheet if the old one isn't reset sometime today if others are willing to help send information.

It's probably what's people have been saying. What matters is how many "growing new feathers" message you get.

Mine's here for the research. RESULT: NOTHING. Same plain Desert Yellow.

Just an idea, but may be the condition of the stable modify the value of each fruit, that would explain why some ppl get the message with more or less fruits and the different colors using the same combination.

I'd like to know something, if we are adding / removing colors to our chocobo, does anyone know what's the starting point is ? Is it Desert Yellow RGB 216 175 80 ?

And another interrogation, is adding blue :
- darkening blue and so lowering Blue value in RGB notation,
OR
- adding RGB notation blue, so lightening blue ?

Mine somehow ended up bone white
Does anyone know what I should do for it to become snow white?

Somehow ended up even more confused than before..

I assume I should feed it more pineapples?

Not pineapples i already tried that and went backwards to cream yellow from white bone.

Hopeful in a new spreadsheet being started, because the old one is just plain wrong. It's definitely based upon the new feathers message in regards to how many times it's fed. I followed the spreadsheet for raptor blue and got othard blue. Still a very nice looking blue! Anyway, in case a new spreadsheet is started which is based upon the amount of 'new feathers' messages were obtained, here is what I did.

I fed my chocobo 21 O'Ghomoro berries all in quick succession. I fed them all to my chocobo within 4 mins time. I didn't get a "new feathers" message until my 3rd feeding, and then I got the message for every single subsequent feeding, for a total of 19 "new feathers" messages. = Othard Blue.

No SS, I'm a console player and get on the forums while at work so a bit tough for me to post SS. I remembered the new feathers messages though, because I remember others posts' here yesterday about not seeing them like I did. I thought my chat log was glitched, but no.....19 consecutive new feathers messages.

I want white but thing's haven't gone as planned. My choco went from:

desert yellow > 21 berries > othard blue
othard blue > 30 pineapple (20 to to cancel above blue), 15 valfruit, 15 plum > cream yellow :S
cream yellow > 15 pineapple, 15 plum, 15 valfruit > ???
