Is it possible to get a bright/snow white color on the chocobo?
Hi, my silly chocobo is caught in the Regal Purple - Dalamud Red loop. I want Rolanberry Red and not having ANY luck getting it.
Any advice?
My log on the steps I've taken so far. http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...=1#post2401813
Whoever did the math got it right. And it is the total amount that matters with last fruit proc to confirm all the color jumps. And yes, it lands to soot black or seriously close. It's tough to land soot black in big jumps, but it's easier to fine tune when close.
Snow white is possible, it's the clearest color available, though it's not bright, more of a very light grey. Also, there is no black but soot black, which is a dark grey. Use this for reference: http://www.superslothdesign.com/chocobo/
Try the following:
apple 3
pear 3
pineapple 2
valfruit 2
Apple and pear go to ink blue and the valfruits and pears are confirmed jump from ink blue to soot black.
Expected result from exact value: To Target 4 1 -2
As close as you can get. Variance on any overshoots to something else. Feed total amount, only proc necessary is last one to confirm, don't count procs total but total fruit.
Does anyone have any advice on moving from Ceruleum Blue to Void Blue?
Thank you so much. Will try this out. Thanks for all the help you give in this topic. I can't wrap my head around the processes.
Does it matter at all in which order I give the fruits?
i'm at gobbue grey right now and was hoping to get some help to get to snow white thank you
Soot Black : 1st feed: 32 berries, 25 apple, 15 pears to get Hunter green. 2nd feed: 3 apple, 2 valfruit will get you to soot black right away
Currently at Kobold Brown. Should I feed 1 plum or 2 to get to Soot Black?
Deepwood green again this time going for valfruit x1 and pineapple x1 let's see if get soot black i may end up having to reset and start over by the look of it.
Finally got there. Thank you so much for the help!

in your opinion you think i should start over? it seem no matter what i feed like others have got soot black i don't land on it. So you think i should start over or keep trying?
If i do start over what should i feed it so i have a better chance of getting soot black this time around.
No particular order needed.
You're still too dark and away from the range. Gonna need many valfruits, plums and pineapples, to lighten it all up consistently for now. Feed many but equal numbers of the three and come back with new color. I'll help you get there.
Ok srs noob question here, but I been doing a search on the market boards, I can't find these fruits anywhere. Where exactly do I get the fruits?
Either grow them yourself at FC garden with seeds bought from hunt shop for allied seals, or buy the grown fruit, search for them by name. Markets are flooded with them usually.
Search market-board for full names:
O'Ghomoro Berries
Valfruit
Mamook Pear
Cieldalaes Pineapple
Doman Plum
Xelphatol Apple
Was at dalamud red, fed
pear 7
plum 3
berry 6
in 1 go, and got Royal Blue.
Soot black eludes me yet again.
Hello!
I've been stuck in a Deepwood green, Marsh green, Void blue, Kobold brown, and now Chestnut brown loop for about 2 weeks. I am getting a bit frustrated. XD;
I was at Deepwood green and fed: pineapples x 2 and valfruit x 2, which gave me Chestnut Brown, right now.
Please help. :(
Ok, so after bull-headedly trying to smash my way through the steps to getting the famed "Brown before Black" all in one go from reg yellow and getting some low ranking red I tried to blast through the red line without adding other colors. got 4 messages, stopped, came back and ... we got the milicorn yellow or w/e that's called. :/
Now I'm just gonna few it til one message and stop. Gonna take some days but I don't trust mixing and even though no ones using them I don't wanna blow through the supplies.
Two questions.
1) So we confirmed that "Deepen Red" means increase the R value and decrease the GB values? And "Lighten Red" does the opposite?
2) Does any fruit fed before the "feather proc" count? I've head people only counting after the feather proc, but it seems to me to be more intuitive that all fruit counts, the feather proc only shows up if the fruit you just fed will result in a valid RGB different from the current color of your choco.
Sorry if these have been clarified, this is a big thread.
So, this lead me to Ochu Green
Ochu Green -> 1 Berry (5) -> Turquoise Green
Turquoise Green -> 8 Apples (10) + 9 Berries (9) + 9 Pears (9) + 2 Apples (2) -> Hunter Green
Hunter Green -> 1 Berry (6) -> Morbol Green.
I hope that will help someone :)
now i got Ink blue >< i want soot black, any tips
ok so now it's at sylph green should i keep doing valfruits? or should i give up on snow white and go for soot black? at this point i'd be game for whichever would be quicker...I think a doman plum would get me the snow white according to this chart? https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/18...661/vBZmlD.png
Any help going soot black from olive green?
Gonna do it , thx :D
Been stalking this thread for about a week now and am also on the journey to Soot Black. Tried to follow various people's posts to avoid the Deepwood Green/Ink Blue/Kobold Brown shift but it seems like I fell into it nonetheless, gahhh.
Anyway, after going from:
- Abyssal Blue (Forgot to record fruit)
- Woad Blue (8 apples, 6 pears and 6 berries)
- Deepwood Green (1 valfruit)
- Ink Blue (1 pinapple)
- Kobold Brown
I'm very nervous about what to feed my chocobo because I desperately want to avoid the dark color loop (and also just want to stop the dying shenanigans). Do I feed it one Doman Plum and I should be done? I'm worried that's going to bring me back to Deepwood or Ink.
Does anyone have any better suggestions? (Best of luck to everyone else trying to get their dream color!)
EDIT:
Decided to go for 2x plums. If it doesn't get me to Soot I'm hoping it at least gets me out of the loop
