But I feel my Roe is one of the more unique characters I have ever made (across a plethora of MMO's.)

I am really, really, REALLY proud and attached to her, and I'd actually be upset to see someone running around in her image, so I am going to have to decline giving out my character data.

It's the same face I used long time ago for my Moengeim... I think it's face 3 if I'm not mistaken. I can send you Moengeim's character presets since I use her as a retainer now, She's a little different though, especially on color pallete (she was a full silver/blue Roe), but the face is kinda the same.

So I decided to brave the city of Limsa Lominsa and as usual, I got lost. Ended up teleporting back out after a day and night of aimless wandering. :D

I normally don't like Roegadyn's but your character made me want to try one. And sadly I get annoyed if the character I want is not the way I want, so I'll stick to my Miqo'te then.

Roes look the best with the Minfillia hair, hands down!
Have you thought about dyeing your bikini metallic gold? It would match they eyes wonderfully

Yeah feels like most roe pics I see are of darker skinned roes. :(

Wow man, lame. The guy said he would prefer you not copy her because she means a lot to him. You made her with your own flair by copying everything but the hair and eye shape? Really lame.

Well, to be fair, there's only so much you can do with the character creator. I think they look different enough. She looks more like my roe than Pom's. x') And all three of us have the same face option, white skin and green eyes.

WTF, I didn't copy everything, even the skintone is different. I think the green tone of my Roe's eyes are different as well.

And as the poster above me said, there is only so much you can do. Both our characters look a whole lot different enough.

Get your facts straight before attacking someone, if anyone is lame than that's you not me.

My first intent was to try and copy yes. I waited for his response on purpose to see what his thoughts were on this matter.
HOWEVER, after reading his response I made a Roegadyn that lookes a lot different than his now.

Also, Pom didn't say anything about my character yet. Who are you to judge me and play Pom's advocate without his consent? Last time I checked, this is none of your business.

I might consider to delete my char if Pom doesn't like it however. But again, this is not of your concern!!

You can't because according to your logic, many players in this game are "lame" because they are "copycat's" of many other people.

I'm sure that there are many people out there that have the exact same look as my lovely Miqo'te, shall I call them "lame" too??

Lol I think the blind one is you, because you are missing one very small detail that the reason what you did is lame is because you intentionally went into creator to copy another persons character.. thats completely different than just making a duplicate character by coincidence.

There are probably zero examples of true originality when it comes to the character creator- there simply aren't enough knobs and levers to turn, so you may as well use a character you find beautiful as a template if you don't have a solid grasp of your characters concept in your head. I knew I wanted a green skinned, white haired Roe after I saw one. Take it as flattery to the focused Character instead of unbridled copyright infringement of someones combination of limited character creation variables.

Definition of Copying: "An imitation or reproduction of an original; a duplicate"

My Roe:
1: Eye shape
2: Eye color
3: Skin tone
4: Hair shape
5: Hair color
are all different which for an artistic eye, makes a totall different character.

So again, please tell me, how did I copy his character?

If you look "a whole lot different" than his character now it is not from lack of trying.

The character creation variations are limited, but coming up with a character that looks like other people's characters by chance is completely different than having someone say please don't copy it, it means so much to me and I worked hard to make her look unique, and then you go and do it anyways.

It seems that I have to write things more clear so people have no reading issues.

My FIRST intent was to copy yes.
BUT I waited for his response on purpose to get to know his thoughts about this matter.
AFTER reading his response, I ended up making a character to MY liking, INSTEAD of copying his character!


But wow I learned one thing from this entire stupid ordeal, next time I won't ask, I will just make whatever I want. See if you can sue me just because my character looks exact same as yours AND many others!!

You know "copyright" issues.


You guys should really get yourselves straight. Making a whole issue about a character in game where character creation options are limited, is lame and childish.

If your character is so damn dear to you then people should not make threads such as these either. There will always be people that are inspired from your character and would like to try out a similar character as well. I see nothing wrong with that.

If everybody would call others "lame" just because they want to look unique than SE should close this game and make it only available for a small amount of people.
