"You pull, you tank" is a bad mentality

As some one that wants to relax and have fun not speed run like its my 2nd job.
I really wish they would just let us run with Duty nps as a duo. Why they dont make this change just seems odd i am fine with following the one tank one healer 2 dps but let us fill 1-3 of these rolls and slot in the missing players. This fixes you having to run with people that dont want to run full speed to the boss. I dont know how long ill stay back playing left years ago when it seemed like playing in a DUO. To be honest I would not even be back if they had spelt out in the marketing you can not use the duty support system as a DUO.

Call me weird but after reading the more recent posts, this really feels like an argument over whether or not single pulls or wall to wall should be the norm in the community at large.

While not universal, there is certainly a trend of Tank mains being more prone to MCS, it's especially funny when they try to YPYT you, and you don't die...

Once upon a time, it was a question of whether your party was above average or not. If your party was, you could pull big. If at least one person wasn't, it was going to be a struggle. I wouldn't mind a return of those days, where heavy pulls were possibly only if the team was good.

Then the tank just sits there being a petty child because the person survived and they either whine about it or just refuse to move at all before a vote kick sends them packing.

What game are you playing that this happens in even remotely often? Are we at the point where a single occurrence in 6 months of playing is a "trend"?

This thread is literally about MCS tanks doing exactly that. That's what the "you pull, you tank" mentality is. Letting someone die for going against you.

And seeing you say that tanks are the sole deciders and the sole pace-makers and anyone else's opinions doesn't matter just proves that you are one of those MCS people.

i mean aren't you folks just as equally saying that people who say "its not the tanks job soley but anyone" just proving that opinion don't matter either?

End of this all. the "you pull it you tank it" mentality is toxic but so is what a bunch of you are saying as well. Play as you will but don't be shocked if a tank is like..dude lemme pull. if you pull attitude then expect the player to either retaliate or report your stupidity. this is a party dynamic game and if my tank wants to pull..have at it. i will just damage the mob or mobs and move on with my day. my time isnt so important as to force quick runs on people. if you all find your time is. go in with premade groups wanting quick runs and leave the rest of the players to their own devices lol.

Literally everyone that is in support of the YPYT mentality does exactly that. If a DPS or Healer pulls ahead and survives it, what are you going to do? You either put up with it or you devolve into that petty child I described.
