Predictions for job(s) in the next expansion?

It wouldn't necessarily be the same job just the same weapon like how in SB both WoL and Zenos uses katana's but zenos wasn't technically a samurai he just liked how the katana's felt. In this case it would be the same situation, same weapon different "jobs". Plus the WoL wont be the new job he'll be paladin as a ff4 reference.

As for the second Melee DPS, it's probably a reaper due to Yoshi-P's shirts, Ran'jit fighting style and possibly a little clue in the Endwalker trailer.

If it was Runic Knight/Rune Fencer, it would've been the poster job. Paladin was chosen because it was the closest thing to a "Warrior of Light" job. Rune Fencer/Runic Knight would've been a good candidate for a WoL job.

It's a reference to cecil in ff4 going from DRK to PLD. they have been doing a lot of ff4 references lately and the moon is also a place in 4

I'm on the team of the "Scythe-wielding" job that is dark themed, by the following reasons:

1) The shirts, obviously - It doesn't mean that just because it's a melee that is not themed around magic skills, much like DRK;

2) The WoL poster-boy is a paladin. It would make sense for a counterpoint job, dark themed, but defo won't be DRK for the obvious reasons of it being featured in ShB. This point is mostly vague, but at least might be a hint about the theme of this new job. I can't help but look at Amano's art for the xpac and think about a job that is somehow themed after Zodiark/Ascian power/Void wielding?

In short, I don't think it's going to be Necromancer... But a job that manipulates Void powers and wields a scythe.

Image instead of a Scythe, the new Melee DPS job uses a Composite greatsword with Death/Darkness magic powers. :p

While I don't think we've really had overt counterparts previously, I think a Zodiark linked/themed job might be plausible because I feel like the Nouliths are potentially inspired by Hydaelyn and this is meant to be the end of that storyline.

If you compare the nouliths shape, the crystal looking sections of them, and the way they float/rotate around it all really reminds me of the crystal fragments that surround the crystal.

Combine that with death shirts and also the lore against necromancy, I'm wondering if the melee class might have some link to Emet-Selch/Hades. Possibly the weapon could resemble the arms sticking out of his back, scythe-like claws on one side and zodiark looking crystal on the other.

Yeah... Alternatively I kept reading some theories about the new melee dps job being the Mystic Knight instead, as in:

- There is some Arabic-looking text on top of the shirt (so the skeleton would be just a fake clue) - Dunno what it says, tho;

- Traditionally, always at least one of the jobs tie in with one of the featured zones lore-wise. In ShB GNB didn't tie necessarily with a major zones, but Bozja and Gunhildr is a big feature side-plot as well. Given the Sage's aestethics most likely resembling Sharlayan things, and not having that place available... Only makes me think that Mystic Knight tying with Thavnair aesthetics;

- Looks like a good candidate for the Maiming gear with DRG;

- We got a glimpse of the "imbuing weapon with magic" in the latest WoL trial;

- Wields 1h Scimitars... Yeah, another sword, but it would warrant at least a unique sword aesthetics to it. Also nothing holds them of bringing Mystic Knights with a different weapon, even the scythe itself;

With these aspects people expect it to be a source version of whatever Ranjit does because of where his family hails from and the fact that his name is sorta sanskrit. I personally wouldn't be opposed to this

I honestly think it will either be a Scouting+Aiming DPS (like NIN) or a Maiming DPS (like DRG).

Also, made a thread about my idea for a Beast Master (BST) job. I don't think it will come in Endwalker though.

The album that T Shirt is referencing is produced by a man named Temple; it will be Templar.

The Filth and the Fury; Halone is known as the Fury, hence it will be a Ishgardian based job.

It means we will be getting Aymeric's job. One Handed Sword job that everyone has been asking for forever. Before you go all, no way! The Samurai Sam Raimi theory was totally correct.
