PSA - Cleric Stance and vote kicking

It would be interesting at the very least. Would be amusing to see people flailing their arms when they can't play the way they used to, at least. It's one of the things I'm severely hoping will happen with the expansion. If nothing else, the fallout could be interesting.

Wha... What?! As an sch main you feel... the healing potency is what needs nerfed... I wish my MP was nearly as nigh unlimited as your describe it... I just can't. ;-; Even with bugged dissipation our mp could floor from carrying. Thats not unlimited. Thats nothing like unlimited. How hard are you dpsing for your mp to stay so healthy?

I stay in cleric stance probably 70% of the time. I also blow nearly every energy drain as soon as it comes up so my mp stays relatively high. This is in A9S and A10S by the way. I'm typically not running dangerously low on mp (for me I consider 2k mp dangerously low) until near the end of the fight. I also carry Elixers and pop them almost every time they are available. Could be the dps I'm with is so fast that I'm not feeling the strain that a more prolonged encounter would put on me. My A10S groups usually kill it right as the adds appear or before.

I think it would be unpopular but I think a nerf of healing potency and a rebalance of damage mechanics around that would do the healing aspect of this game a lot of good for all healing Jobs.

That or some integration of our dps into our main mechanics so at the very least there is some synergy. If we have to dps as healers, at least make it interesting.

BRDs not bothering with their songs is the norm in most PUGs I run. Hell most don't even bother with Foes and that is when I am actively dpsing and their are casters in the group. I am yet to kick any of them for it.

So you're a pot-spammer. If that's the way you want to play, that's your choice. Don't expect other players to have a bottomless purse or the time to craft them.

Lol you say it as if it's a bad thing. Like something I should be ashamed of. Please, even without that extra what, 600 or so mp every 3 and a half minutes? Maintaining your MP on SCH is an absolute joke.

I don't expect everyone to carry pots by the way. Just thought I'd throw that in there.

The 70% of the time seems more the difference than the pots. Most of the healing I do is OGCD, so I dont really get my MP back up from 100% Energy drain consumption. I'm in cleric stance for a very large portion of my GCDS, Spending a few on succor or Adlo during actie battle, only if we need it. Broil is hella expensive. I also spend my pot CD on poor man's pot of choice: The drac pot, now that it comes in threes. In prog I used to carry Max-Ethers for emergencies, but during DPS content, I just stick with DPS pots, since, SCH have no inherent DPS cds to pop... yet.

Some people craft the pots themselves. I know I always use every food and item I make since that also let's me level alt jobs.

You can always stack Piety if you need more Mana regen. Honestly I have almost never had an issue with SCH mana unless my party is taking a lot of unnecessary damage.

To call it infinite, like it truely was in ARR, is what I'm going after. You can get dangerously, bottom of the barrel low this time around. Becoming OOM can still happen on a SCH.
