Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

I’m supporting the female Hrothgar thread so I’m going to support this one, too.

fwiw here's my reply. Please give us male Vieras, Yoshida-san.

Wanting to add to the support thread here for male Viera and female Hrothgar, who I'd fantasia from Popoto to play as.

It's sad that the gender of a digital figure cause such dismay..honestly if the shape of digitally manipulated pixels ruins your time...you may need deep reflection on life and happiness

I'm in support for having both male Viera and female Hrothgar.

FFXIV has been of the most open games I've ever played, allowing so much freedom between your job preference, glamour options, and personalizing your character to such an effect. I don't want to have that freedom be restricted for people looking to switch to these races, nor exclude anyone from playing the game because of them.

Please allow us to have both genders for these races!

This is my first time posting in this forum

I've come to show my support for both Male Viera and Female Hrothgar to be considered as playable.

Rarity in lore is very weak reasoning for gender-locking these races.
Male Keeper's of the Moon Miqo'te are meant to be equally as rare as male Viera.

There are lots of ways using the Lore you could make them playable, such as the differences between shards

The game once celebrated for it's removal of gender-locking Roes' and Miqo' is now falling for those same mistakes and causing discourse within the community.

Only way you will get me to buy a fantasia. As a vocational healer the xpac is disappointing. A male viera would sooth this.

We've slain this dragon that is the gender-lock before and we can do it again. Keep up the pressure. Never give up.

I love this idea! These designs suggested here are wonderful. FF14 did a great job with the male Au Ra characters, and I am confident their take on male Vieyra will be well done. I would even be okay with the Female Vieyra being taller than the male Vieyra; what an interesting opportunity for FF14 to present its perspective on a matriarchal society.

No, Miquo'te were renamed for 14, they were created, as a Fem only race (Mithra) for FFXI. 1.0 did not have Male Miquo'te. Here is the thread asking for the fix in 1.0.
