Despite being very very different visually, Olive green and dalamund red are very similar in terms of R,G,B. Try about 8 apples and 3 berries. If that doesn't get you there, it will get you very close.

Damn! Once again followed the simulator and ended up with Hunter Green from Regal Purple, wanna get to soot black, any experts around?

One of the sheets says that I only need 1 berry (message) to get from cactuar green to turquoise. If I want to change/switch between these two, which fruit do I have to feed if I want to go back to cactuar green?

Okay...this calculator is a little confusing to me this early in the morning, but it looks like 20 berries 4 apples 8 pears should get my other chocobo to slate grey? Surely there's a combination with less berries but fiddling around with it I just keep ending up on a brown or purple. Hope I grow enough berries for it.

5 berries gave ul brown followed by 5 apples gave me cork brown followed by 5 valfruit to give me coral pink.

Anybody have any suggestions on how to go from Rolanberry Red to Soot Black? I'd assume berries, but I don't want to over shoot and end up with Royal Blue? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

We're gonna get there! Right now, go for two valfruits and 1 berry. It's really close in RGB and the values need to be minimal to change, so this lowers the green while upping the other two just by the tiny difference.

I decided to deviate from single fruit feeds as I seemed to be looping through Currant Purple, Marsh Green or Deepwood Green. So, I used the calculator from this thread to see if that would help get me to Soot Black.
Starting at Marsh Green (I had tried the feeding Berry only and ended up with Deepwood Green from that previously) I have fed 2 berries, 1 apple, 1 pear.
This shows as taking the RGB from 55, 63, 39 to 45, 53, 39 (goal being 47, 47, 39). Bit worried about the green value but it gives a colour estimate of Soot Black so crossing my fingers for the result in 1hr 20mins now.
Putting in 2 berries only did give an estimate of Soot Black but the value was 45, 53, 49 and I was concerned with the Blue showing as +10 over the approx. RGB value. I hope this works lol. At least with 2 colours in the range so close and only a little over with green it's got to be on the right track surely? >.>
Although.... now I'm wondering if I should feed another apple to get 50, 48, 34 arghhhhhh!!

Hey all, today I hit Rust Red and am shooting for Soot Black. I am clueless on using the calculator and could use a hand. Anyone out there have any suggestions?

The hell? After bouncing back and forth between Abyssal Blue and Rolanberry Red, I just jumped from Royal Blue to Midnight Blue... Not that I'm complaining (since I've been trying to get to Midnight Blue for a couple of days now), but this is confusing as hell. Hopefully I don't lose this route and I can go to Kobold Brown, then Soot Black from here though. I wish it was as simple as just feeding it a specific fruit and getting a color instead of everyone getting different results, despite feeding it the same damn thing in the same quantity no less =3=

Got my Chocobo to Snow White today :D
started out from the default

> Desert Yellow
+ around 7 plums until feathers message
> Sylph Green
+ 9 plums until feathers message
> Celeste Green

I looked at the RGB-Values for Celeste Green the Blue was right but Red and Green were too low so I guessed that my blue was probably a bit higher than needed I fed it 15+ plums after all

Solution: Pineapple

+ 1 pineapple until feathers message
> back to Sylph Green
+ 2 Pineapples until feathers message
> Snow White

From what I've gathered each fruit you feed adds to the values until the color actually changes and you get the message. However the amount that is added/substracted is random (there is probably a certain range that it falls into but inside that range it's random, only my speculation). Because of that using only one type of fruit and stopping after the first message is, in my opinion at least, the best method to get to your desired color.

And now someone please tell me what color this is, it looks beautiful *_*

Try to come to Black too, use single feed and use the diagram.

Single feed with list have work to Rolanberry Red. Then use Pears for Grape Purple and come to Regal Purple.. .Then have use the back feed trick and then i have get at first Dalam. Red and next 6 hours later it was come back to Rolandberry Red.

The i have use Berries for Midnight Blue but TADAAAA, again Grape Purple.... .So i use now the back trick again with Pinapples, then the last feed was with Berries.

in 6 hours i see more. i hope he go back to Rolandberry red, or Dalam. Red... . But i dont hope that i get an other Color xD

btw. i need more $$$ ^^

Went from Shadow Blue to Currant Purple ><, so slowly getting down towards a black i guess. any ideas as to what path to go down next?

Trying so hard to get Shadow Blue as well, going off other people's experiences (mostly on the way to soot black :P) and some of my own experimentation. I'm on my ninth feed now. Last was sitting at Midnight Blue (which I'm currently waiting to see what 6 apples (1 proc) and 1 pear (proc) does.

This has been my journey so far: Acorn Brown > Regal Purple > Nophica Green > Currant Purple > Deepwood Green > Ink Blue > Void Blue > Midnight Blue

Wish I could help (was a Regal at one point too), but obviously I'm having some trouble getting there myself. :)

I've ended up at midnight blue and a few other dark blues in loops for a while now trying for black. I think I may stop until something more concrete is figured out. My gil wallet hurts.

Well ive managed to get ceruleam blue did one the feed for abyssal blue but kept getting gloom purple after the 2 feeds so i tried with 1 plum after and i scored ceruleam now ultimate goal is soot black ill get back to you if i manage from here

Yeah.... I really hope someone replies to me, since there are no guides to getting shadow blue out there. Alinah's chart doesn't have shadow blue placed anywhere on it, and the spreadsheet doesn't have a recipe for it. I have seen a lot of people getting shadow blue on the way to soot black, but no one seems to know how to explain to get there.

Ok it is now nearly 2am and my brain is fuzzy, but I have gone with 1x Valfruit (although no message for new growth) and 1x Pineapple. This should supposedly put me at 41, 47, 39 (if the valfruit does count)... who knows anymore lol
Going to bed, looking forward to seeing my sky blue pink chocobo in the morning.

Oh, to Lamire above- I went to Shadow Blue from Currant Purple at one point in this big loop I seem to be stuck in after feeding 2 pears. Don't know if that helps... (new growth message after each one)

Does anyone have the combinations for shadow and ceruleum blue, yet? It would be a great help. :) Thanks in advance.

Feed 2: 10 Apples = Pumpkin Orange
Feed 3: 6 Berries = Sunset Orange
Feed 4: 6 Berries = Blood Red

Any idea how to get from here to Mesa Red? :confused:

This RNG is just beyond dumb SE i give it 2 pineapple at ink blue and went back to deepwood green o.o going to give it other pineapple and hope i get to soot black.

Update: So i feed it 3 pineapple at deepwood green and got 2 feather message would that be soot green or you think it may end up being marsh green?

Does anyone have an idea how to get currant purple from say a base Desert Yellow chocobo?

Any suggestions for getting to lotus pink from ice blue?

I was at snow white two different occasions. I tried feeding him a berry the first time. With the berry, it became Celeste Green.

The second snow white, I fed him a valfruit. Now it is Ice Blue. I don't really understand how feeding a snow white chocobo valfruit turns it blue.

I'm currently waiting to see what one valfruit does to Ice Blue, it took 15 of them to get the feather change message.

After i got Sylph Green from Cream Yellow, I decided to give my Sylph Green Chocobo 5 more Berries to Dark the Blue Hue. And this is what I get. And i love it.
