Continued in another post again, since the 1000 character limit keeps me from doing any quality posts, it seems...
But here's one that doesn't, to switch it up a bit, although it wasn't as big of a deal thanks to tank and myself fixing it, so I don't know how much horror it really involves, but I'll tell anyway - I follow the tank into one room, two dps for some reason decide to go their own way and aggro some mobs in a completely different room, and I notice the health bars starting to go down after the tank has done the pull in this room. I think we had this shared moment of 'oh sh--', and we both run into the other room, our mobs chasing us, tank takes the mobs in the other room as well, and I heal them all up just in time for no KOs. Tank and healer save the day from two derp dps.

Sounds like a bot going through dr. I had a healer bot run when I was brd that did nothing but cast stone/aero the entire time and said nothing.

DF'ing a tank who thinks it increases their 'ability(?)' and skill (to keep things "harder" for them) to keep Sword Oath on.
-sigh-
True story times double digits, sadly enough.

I got told Eos won't cover all my healing.
I still can't sleep at night.

Garuda story mode, all first timers in PUG. I had read up and watched videos on the fight, I thought I had a pretty good handle of the mechanics and was well prepared. Tank was telling everyone not to stand behind the pillars during shriek. He insisted throughout the entire time limit that the pillars are what cause damage to the player. But it was my fault that we ran out of time...

In a learning group for Titan Ex.
I tried as a WHM. I felt very squishy and just bad. At least I only got caught by one landslide.
Felt like I was the horror story.

I was doing the typical daily duty roulette and landed Titan. The entire time the tank stuck beside me causing me to take damage consistently. Wasted a lot of MP on casting Regen on myself and Cure I on the tank. At the end of the fight the tank said the most disturbing thing ever. "I like to stick beside the healer. The Cure spell travels a shorter distance so I get my heals faster." U wot m8?!
Another time in Titan, the DPS kept getting pushed off the edge. Every single time. Down to just 1 DPS, we couldn't kill the Titan's Heart and we wipe. This repeated 8 times. The guy's excuse was "I have a 2 year old on my lap while playing." Please hide your kids and your wives while playing FF14 ARR, thank you very much.
This is why I dread Duty Finder. More than half the time it sucks. Under-equipped, trolls and unskilled players. I really should switch from WHM to BLM. I enjoy DD a lot more. Mindless "Fire" and "Blizzard", so easy.

I feel like I'd have more horror stories if I didn't find half of the situations I'm forced into so fun. Like when my tank accidentally pulled 4 packs in AV's first room. Was my first time healing it too. Only the dragoon died. I felt bad but I could not spare the MP for a cure 3 without an overcure, or the GCD to cure him normally. Tank literally hovered around 50-200 hp most the "pull."
I tanked titan story mode in my roulette the other day. Tank ate a landslide immediately after heart phase, our melee dps followed him down soon after. Just left me and the bard for the last 25% or so of titans health. Luckily bard got gaoled instead of me or we wouldn't have cleared it.
Both of those situations I found incredibly fun, and not frustrating in the least. That dragoon in AV even agreed with my choice to let him die. He said the tank stayed up and that's more important. Not that I needed to be told that, but it was nice to get a compliment for letting someone die, strange as that is to me. Meant even more coming from the one that died. The other dps agreed and said, "Yeah don't worry you're doing great healer." Slightly irks me being called by class name rather than character name, but I'll take the compliment either way. If only everyone were so nice.
