Whats the move that Twintania is casting after the twister? Could it be the Twister is taking the locking position of the new cast?

Also, is twister instant kill or just a lot of damage that can be mitigated with abilities/resistance? Maybe people can put on vit gear to just survive it? *shrug

That is Death Sentence being cast. It is an ability that hits the tank for a large amount of damage and leaves a healing debuff. It is present from the beginning of the fight.

Getting hit like in the video does not report any damage in our combat logs or combat text. We just die.

The fact that there is no damage makes me think in my head that the mechanic is intended..

The easiest way to tell if this is something bugged or intended would just to get a bunch of videos displaying Twister and seeing the placement of each AoE. In that way we'd be able to see if there's any pattern or indicator of where each AoE appears. Hell, for all we know the Twister locations could be determined at the very outset of the fight or at a certain time, like "2 minutes into the fight x# of player positions are marked and that's where Twister will appear." It could be something as obscure as that.

Joking aside, as I haven't actually set foot in Coil yet I can only but speculate. So far every fight outside of Coil has had predictable move patterns based on HP percentages and other factors. Is Twister so random in nature that it cannot be anticipated when it's going to happen, based on an HP percentage or move rotation from the boss? If it can be you can at least preemptively try to move out of it. But it's just one of those things, you have to KNOW exactly when it's coming.

Interesting.. Non-blockable instant kill move.. Does the mt ever get hit? Other possibility could be him casting on people behind him.. Or too far from him.

Believe me any strat that is within the bounds of the game you or anyone else could think of has been tried at this point. If for any reason there is a strat that has not been tried by any of the groups that think of themselves as world first, then they are absolutely terrible and do not deserve to even think of the title of world first. You want to be the best you need to show it and that means trying everything possible to down something even if it means giving something hundreds of attempts many of which are trying to same strat to see if there could be anything more to it.
