Even if I would like to play with some of my friends, this will make 4vs4 solo que very unfair for a duo party + 2 random against 4 random players :/
They could implement a new The Feast istance 4vs4 unranked and with less restriction, a kind of "training 4vs4",
and if this will channel the Esofarmer would be great (even if I hope to another solution).
But queue splitting in pvp is already a problem, so I dont' know :/

Will the new season make single ques work again? lol..I spent 3 hours waiting for one.

At least make solo ques DUO. having 1 person with you makes a big difference.

I'd be down for that as I only play 8v8 to zone out and gear up other classes or duo with people to get to know them a little better. I really do hate the mode, from the bottom of my heart. Right now if I want to play 4v4s but don't have a full team, we play Fold instead. Seems to be traumatizing the new players a bit, though.

This would be perfect, I'm not really bothered about ranking it's just that I don't like that my only options to play with my 1 (one) friend is to play 8v8 or form a light party and get pubstomped endlessly

The already have shadeshift and cross class second wind, you don't need anymore self-survivability espesically in relation to your other tools (such as a ranged bind, an approach skill and a second approach skill that can also work as an escape). Honestly mug in general feels like a wasted skill even in PvE. It's a 90 second oGCD that you use for damage.

What's scary is they might actually listen to you and give you yet another unneeded buff like your overwhelm or a freebie with fetter ward before addressing actual problems like how players are utilizing hide with high medal stacks. Here's hoping they give you your access to bloodbath or a similarly functioning ability to go with your bind, heavy, slow, increased parry rate, increased evasion, dmg nullification of up to 20% of your HP, stun, silence, 40 sec gap closer, shukuchi, and increased movement speed via poison stance toggle >_>

That would hurt queue times in the long run, exactly because it makes a big difference.

One of the issues with The Fold was people bringing in a pocket player (usually heals) with them, making them much more coordinated and stacking their winning odds over Pick up Groups. In turn, solo players who didn't have a pocket player they can bring with them eventually stopped queuing, because they would run into the same tag-team players over and over and lose every time. It was one of the reasons that people were encouraged to queue solo for the community organized Friday Night Fights, because it put everyone on equal footing. Sadly, you always did get one or two groups who would roll with a pre-made group or bring in a pocket healer, and that really did put a downer on the whole thing. Sometimes queues would just dry right up, because no one wanted to play if they knew that they were just going to lose against a well coordinated duo.
