Can you explain in more detail the progression available for Free Companies and how progression will be achieved such as what tasks the Free Company members would engage in to rank up the guild?
Can you explain in more detail the progression available for Free Companies and how progression will be achieved such as what tasks the Free Company members would engage in to rank up the guild?
Apart from roaming primals and company housing, what content will Free Companies have access to that is not available otherwise?
are there any plans to to make both a male and female version of AF armor. it might be jusyt me but i feel that at least in AF you should be able to tell if the character is male or female (mainly blm AF). second some AF is suited more for females than males (whm and brd)
Will gear sets obtained through PVP be usable outside of PVP?
Are there any plans to add rewards we can choose from for completing the main storyline? I.E. Like when people had to choose between a Rajas Ring, Sattva Ring, or Tamas Ring in FF11.
Is there any plan to make our characters swim and get battles under sea?
Can you give us any more information about the Legendary items system? I'd like to get some Genji Gloves!
Will the golden saucer be like a real casino or will it have really low cap on bets and earnings?
About Emotes, is there any plan to have two or three emotes to /dance or /pose?
is possible to make an emote /dance to be progressive or continuous?, that this animation does not end until you move.(This example may apply to other emotes too)
will the Phoenix appear in ffxiv ARR?
Movement & Animation
Please explain the movement animation. Will it be more life like or robotic.
Is there any effort being made to make alternate toons meaningful? Aside from looks, gear and starting city storylines, is anything being done to make the experience of these two different?
I will admit, different starting cities and grand companies has a nice appeal in itself but what will make my white mage on one character different from my white mage on another character? If at all?
Is there anything in ARR which Dalamud survivors cannot do that new players can? Quests/achievements/rewards, etc etc.
Are there any plans to add in-game Idol(s) (and a dance video)?
Will the bed time animations be making a comeback, i.e., when you log out or quit the game by going to bed in your inn room?
Maybe this is a little late (this is letter number V), but I was wondering why none of the lovely concept art that we see in the producer letters ever makes it's way to the official FFXIV website?
Will ARR's audio use lossless PCM audio or will it be in a compressed lossy format fpr space/memory saving reasons?
In the future will we be able to place either our linkshell crests, Grand Company logo, or Grand Company ranking on our armor? (Similar to real world uniforms).
At the end of 1.23, the floating islands where we fought Nael van Darnus; after his defeat those floating Islands came crashing down into what I'm guessing is Coerthas. Is there an impact crater in Coerthas? And is his Nael's spear inside?
Or did those just disappear when Bahamut reshaped Eorzea?
My Question is will seasonal events be in FFXIV:ARR and can we see maybe a special event once a year like Dalamud Anniversary ? If yes to both i hope they are really good i liked 4th of July in FFXI.
When existing 1.0 characters finally choose a server will there be a way to make sure there is no one on that server with a conflicting name? It would be really unfortunate to try and be on a server with your friends to find a few locked out because of a name conflict.
Can you give us more details about Monk? You said it would string together combos endlessly but from the little we have seen it seems to play like the other DD classes. Does it also have a long range attack? Hopefully some spin kick chakra blast :D
Will Relics still be obtainable with a dedicated 8-person group like before? My group was not able to finish before the end of 1.0 and I am worried that we will need a huge group to finish them.
Will there be a separate introduction or storyline for new characters as compared to characters returning from 1.0?
If we buy a Small House and later want to upgrade to the Medium or Large House, do we need to buy a new and bigger piece of land and build a new bigger house there?
Or we only need to buy a expansion of land and add rooms to our currently Small House to make it Medium size?
It has been mentioned that players will receive a "mark" that identify them as survivors of Dalamud.
Will all the characters created during v 1.0 receive the mark regardless of how many quests did they complete? (for example, mules)
Or only those that finish the Seventh Umbral Era storyline will get the mark?
In other words, what are the requirements to qualify for "the mark"?
Can we know now what it its and how it looks?
What will happen to our race/gender specific gears (for example: underwear/small clothes) if we decide to change the race or gender of our character at launch? (for example: from female Lalafel to male Miqo'te)
After all, they won't be tradeable anyway.
Related, will the quest for the first relic weapons be the next job quest after the one for the body piece, having its own story, not being copy/paste for each weapon, but maintaining the overall difficulty (kind of a suggestion I already made as well :P)
Will we be able to travel to Al Mingo, or will that have to wait for an expansion. Also will other lands occupied by the empire come in expansions?
What items for houses besides roofs will crafters be able to make? Will it be possible for a crafter to build more of the house, like walls, chimneys, foundation, 'The whole house'?
I REALLY want this, but combat elements should also play a role in items as well. Some rare materials should be obtained through combat like in dungeons or from NMS (Wanted from dungeons in 1.0, but only got NM's, some through gathering.)
Are there plans on continuing the rare-drop from battle used for crafting that was used to make gear like Champions Lance and Dodore Doublet, but instead stronger versions that require the crafter obtain the material him/herself (no-trade items) to craft the no-trade Gear?
In relation to this, when it comes to WHM at least, the 'pants' of it are shorts on male, and a mini-skirt on females. However, the body of the WHM armor covers it all up making the difference meaningless. Will AF armor change so that we can actually see the differences of the the whole armor set on males and females?
I am wondering if there will be any "Gated" content in FFXIV. I would like areas that you actually have to work to get into, as well as all the content that that area includes. I understand that accessibility is key and, but I also think that it is important to maintain a level of accomplishment when you are playing a game.
The closest thing we really had to this type of content in 1.0 was Ifrit extreme and Darnus hard, but those were just revamped bosses. I think Aurum Veil had the requirement of doing Darkhold like one time to enter, but that was it, and among those, Ifrit Extreme was the only one that posed any type of challenge to get to.
I would like entire areas in FFXIV where we have to work to get to them. With the way they are doing zones and making them look incredible, it will just make it that much sweeter the first time we step foot in a new zone if there was a large hurdle you had to over come to get into it. The type of zone that when you talk about it to a player that is newer to the game they will get excited about their own journey to get there.
Will we be able to have retainers shared between our characters on a server, so we wont have to mail items to our alts or use-a-friend to transfer items?
Is there any possibility of you guys hiring me?
SE's career page hasn't been updated since last December, so might as well ask it here.
At what stage in the game will existing players be able to reset their levels? I'd really like to keep my old character for storyline purposes, but start off at level 1 so that I can appreciate all the new content.
When the game launches, can you give the character named "Terumi Sakurai" the title of 'Princess of Eorzia' upon creation?
<3
We know that Summoner is planned for introduction with the game's relaunch. Looking ahead, what sort of schedule can we expect for future jobs and classes? When XIV was first announced by Tanaka, he stated that there would be new classes added regularly via version updates. Is this still the case? Will it always be a new class, or will existing classes get new jobs by mixing different sub-classes (i.e. RDM could be GLA + THM whereas PLD is GLA + CNJ)?
Finally (and I apologize for the multi-part quesiton) I have to know - FFXI just recently got 2 new mages, Geomancer and Rune Fencer (formerly Mystic Knight from FFV) what are the odds of seeing them appear in XIV in the future? (I'm a huge fan of sword magic ^^ )
So..... Dark Knight..... very first job lined up after summoner right?
:)
