I understand that need. My eye is twitching with anger. I have TWO 580's in SLI and I won't be able to know my real benchmark because there is no SLI/Full screen support on the benchmark.
LOL
get a 660 ti, run you like 270 or so. Should put you over 7k easily
http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/video-card/#c=113
well i tried downlading winzip winrar and renaming the file my laptop wont run the benchmark. looks like i wasted 1600 dollars on this laptop for nothing
@dbrewer: This makes no sense. Did you unzip the file so it's in a regular folder? On win7, you don't even need to DL any new programs since it does it all for you (right-click on the ZIP & select "Extract All..."). You can't just go into the zip file like it's a folder & try to run it. Also make sure you have DirectX 9 installed. (It'll tell you if you don't have it installed when you try to run it.)
B******s!! I thought I had a really score as well. while i don't screen lock i have noticed the screen does on occassion go white for a few seconds at first i just thought it was loading the next part but i'm going to redownload it and try again
New challenge: Get lower than 1677 with every setting as low as possible.

Sorry, forgot to insert battle sounds, explosions etc
Did anyone besides me get a chuckle out of Grass Resolution XD
I wonder if people who were (seriously) complaining about the Bad Graphix Grass can even display it.
i have downloaded the winzip and its still not letting me get the benchmark
I can forgive the grass, but I found the sunglare too weak
I think i did overly good with Max and am happy of my results long as it runs nicely that's all that matters

I looked up overclocking and ran it again. (Since I never had done it before. Been a console gamer always. FFXIV is my first real PC game) So i followed a guide to slightly overclock. And that Increased my Score. I assume since the temp of the GPU never went above 60 that I could overclock it more if I wanted? (anyone more familiar with overclocking know?) But I decided to play safe since there was no need to go higher.

I do plan to get a better graphics card. The One I got was kinda a starter card.
Well, I guess I won't have to worry about whether my PC can run the game or not this time. >.>;

I will run the custom settings, cause the game looks amazing at those settings. No reason to work the hell out of Vid card when I personally cant make out that much of a difference. :/
Specs:
Intel I-7 960 OC'd 4.0 Ghz
Sabertooth X58 MoBo
12 GB G. skill Ripjaw Ram 1600 Mhz
EVGA GTX 560 SC
Just google: <your card> optimal overclock msi afterburner
I did that search and found: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5pLU82isFk
But find one for your card.
huh?
I did! It was the first thing i noticed when that window opened.
OP: 6110 score running with a new rig but an older g-card. Nvidia GTS 250 isnt the greatest. Wondering if i should buy a second identicle card and run 2 or just spend the cheddar on a bettar one. Decisions, decisions.....
