Need to use destrier beret code AFTER you make the character since it only register to the appropriate chara of your choice. After that need to logout game and wait several hours before login again and check the mail mog NPC (i think it's not mail mog, but it's a mog nonetheless. He's located nearby mog house for Windy) to get the hat.

Kinda sucks that now I have THF 32, the hat won't work anymore (since it's limited up to lvl 30 only). Now I can't reraise myself anymore, and if there's no one nearby I can ask for raise, I have to hp which is @ Jueno. :p

BTW, some ppl have suggesting me to go to Crawler's Nest to lvl up from 30 and beyond. But the problem is that I've waited whole day and very few ppl going there. Finally got a small pt which only lasted 2 fights only. ;D
Any of you have great suggestion where to grind my lvl besides CN and works for soloing? I need the location between Windy and Jueno tho. ;D

Plus, although I finally got chocobo license, turns out it only travels quite short distance unless I breed it myself. Wondering if there's another easier option for fast traveling? And I need to raise my nation rank to 4 before I can get my airship license (rank 2 atm).

Meanwhile, going back to Windy and excited to grind my BST. Like it so much since it's kinda having temporary companion for battle. XD

if u do FoVs, u can save enough tabs to buy reraise from the books. it'll save u sometimes if theres a book nearby and it only goes away if u change jobs or it runs out of time.

I do have reraise handy. Also bought a ring (I think) using conquest point that has limited charge of reraise too. Just wondering if there's item similar like the beret that does infinite reraise... XD

Doesn't really matter tho since unlike FF14 where whm raise can nullify weaknesses, apparently in 11 there's no way to raise without having weaknesses. cmiiw... ;D

BTW, a very big important question I need (and others as well): Is there a site that can shows entire Vana'diel map and also tell me the path I need to take to reach destination? Say if I wanna go from Windy/Jueno to Bastok. This will be a great help. ^^

I always went Windy-Sarutabaruta-Tahrongi-Buburimu-Whatever that city is...Mhaura? Boat to Selbina (I think the name)-Valkurm-Konschtat-Gustaberg-Bastok. Not sure if it's the most efficient, though.


Along the same lines, I'm on and about, if it's possible to get the pearl thingy. (More proof I never did any teaming, I have no idea what the thing is called.) Right, name is Ilenya, Capital 'i', lowercase 'L'.

on foot? wow! Now that I'm over lvl 30, I lose running faster, hp/mp regen, and infinite reraise. So it's a bit of chore now travelling on foot. ;D

although I do frequent Gusgen Mines @ Konschtat. @ least now I know where to go to Bastok. ^^

I do wonder if there's choco rent midway? Or it's only in cities? :?

Yeah, on foot. I took advantage of the various teleports once I got them, though. Though, as a Windurstian, I could never get the Gustaberg place, so I'd have to teleport to Valkurm and walk from there.

Oh right!! The supply mission! Too bad @ this moment it's still not available on Valkrum area yet. Wonder when can I have supply mission for that outpost... ;D

Depends on what nation you are. Looks like it'll still be in Bastok's control, but there are still a few days left to change that.

@ least I nailed Meriphataud and still keeping my hp @ Jueno. :p

You can rent a chocobo where the crags are (Dem, Holla, Mea). Makes traveling easier >_>

Tahrongi is under Windy control right now. Burumbu Pennensula, or something like that.

All this XI talk, i think im going to pay the 12.95 for some quick nostalgia...i hope my char is there after 7 months lol.

BTW, I just went supplying on dangerous region which is @ Fauregandi outpust - Beaucedine Glacier. Died so many times, I lost count. The path blocked by so many black tiger and goblins. To add my dilemma, I don't even have the map area and have to feel my way through. ><

You can try Vana'diel Atlas if you haven't purchased the local area maps from the three cities vendors.

Sounds like a group event to me!. If you have the funds maybe you should consider transferring your characters to Phoenix? A lot of people in this thread have chosen to do so and I think it'd be fun to get an expeditionary force together to tour Vana'diel.

I'm getting very tempted to come play 11 again. Steam has it on sale for 20 bucks, Final Fantasy 11 Ultimate Collection- Abyssea Edition. Includes an in game item Destrier Beret (below lvl 30, auto regen/refresh and auto re-raise), and it has everything up to the latest patch. So its not a bad little starter package considering i dont have access to my old 11 account anymore.

sooo.i've bought the ultimate collection, seeing as i've missed all the little add-ons and what not.
but how do i register the code on my old account?

the only option i get is to buy codes, but i'm rather not going to buy the remaining codes for each 9.99 if i can just get the whole pack for 20€ lol.

my old playonline ID is linked to my square enix account and i can also reactivate my old character with the exansions and add-ons i had back then, so how do i go about the new codes?

nevermind.i found out were to add new codes.

This sounds like fun! I actually just rolled a character on Phoenix a couple months ago but stopped playing 'cause I didn't have anyone to play with. Everyone is end game and not interested in the older content. Can I get a shell too?

It's a good deal. That beret is INSANE at low levels.

I just started on Pheonix as Arctureux. I've never played XI, so if anyone is willing to lend a hand, hopefully we can play together.

I wouldn't mind coming back to XI for awhile, especially since you all are already on my old server! I haven't touched XI since XIV closed beta begun but I think my account is around...somewhere. Problem is, I used to play on 360, but now I'd rather just continue to play on PC, so how would that work? I went over to the acct management and it told me I needed to transfer my XI accounts (I'm guessing transferred to my XIV content ID or something?) so I did that and it says "transfer in progress". Do I need to buy the PC version in order to play or will I be able to just reactivate my old accounts and get a dl link for the PC version?

You'll need to buy the PC version. You can get it on Steam. Super easy to purchase, download, and install that way. Or you can get it directly from Square's website.

Just set up and started a new character on Pheonix, prob going to go through a few name tell I get settled lol, I will try sending some of the names at the start of the post a tell.

I am waiting to see if it is possible for them to bring my old ffxi character back from the dead. It is cool to start from the begining again. I loved a lot of the content in XI and would love to complete it again.

Now where to get the hat from the steam download

Starting a new character up, might transfer mine from Sylph at some point (not sure yet).
