This, basically a bonding system where you could do little quests for NPCs and get to know them better.
Because the upgrade tokens can be obtained outright in savage; you can use alliance raid coins to get a Moonshine Twine, or you can have a Moonshine Twine drop and win the roll in the current savage raid tier.
The practical upshot of this is that they only need to provide one upgrade "entry" in the vendor (unaugmented armor + token = augmented armor), rather than multiple. The coins aren't meant to be the upgrade path itself, it's meant to be "give me a different way to obtain the item needed for this upgrade path."
I recognize from the point of view of the end-user it's not really fundamentally different -- nor does the distinction there make it less annoying -- but there is a difference from a design perspective. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I absolutely 239% agree that tokens you can exchange for things ought to consistently have where to trade them in listed in the tooltip, though. Generally you can figure it out, but there are edge cases and it would still really be nice to not need to do so.
Get rid of the Spaghetti Code by creating the game anew and make the whole world one big map
A Teleport free travel server. Make the world alive again.
A button to toggle facepaint and lip color on/off just like we can toggle our headgear on/off.
I might wear warpaint from time to time on adventures. I shouldn't have to go to the aesthetician bell and go through a whole process to toggle it on/off.
I'm not suggesting we get to change our current paint or color for free -- still go to the bell for that.
Just a simple button to hide/unhide it like we can with our hats.
Id like to track achievements in my quest list. Just throw up my progress on my hud so I can track it easier.
Unless there is a way and someone can tell me how
Fix duty recorder so it can be used for every raid. It's 2023. Even mobile games have built it recorders. Such feature will help raiders (new and old) tremendously especially console players. Yes you can record gameplay using softwares but it should be built in, replayable and sped up/slowed down.
And people wonder why there arent so many raiders in this game... for a game that relies so much on pattern for mechanics, the ability to replay a wipe is a must.
People have already thoroughly covered the idea of a functional, searchable, comprehensive glamour log + dye log that unlocks pieces permanently as you acquire them, as well as the idea of upgradeable housing (buy a small, upgrade to a med in the same plot, then later a large, etc.), so I will go back to the dead horse I love to beat...
I would put everything that functions as a currency (its only purpose is to trade it for something else) INTO THE CURRENCY TAB/WALLET, from the moment such items are implemented in the game. I shouldn't have to throw away tokens, totems, doodads, etc. that I've legitimately earned in order to make inventory space, just because "well, you can always run it again though." I shouldn't have to run something again to get another copy of a currency I already legitimately earned.
My entire chocobo saddlebag is full of 8-man raid tokens, and there's literally no reason that should have to be the case just for me to hang onto things that my gameplay has legitimately earned me.
I'll tack on to that a bit, and suggest that dated tokens should all be consolidated(i.e. get rid of all the manifestos/whatsits/used gobcondoms/etc from Alexander and replace them with a single Alex currency) the same way tomestones eventually get melted down into poetics.
There's quite a few things I'd like to implement, some probably stated by others.
But I will go with a mount with a Glamour Dresser attached so if you get a new piece of gear while questing/leveling a new (to character) job, you don't have to teleport to a city with an Aetheryte Crystal to reapply the glamour or put together a new outfit.
I have several actually...
Block random FC invites. I don't mind when you ask me first, tell me about the FC and why you think in what way I could contribute. Random invites out of the blue, just make me feel, like you only want me for filling.
Dismount on attack.
And in PvP, no stuns while mounted.
At the VERY least, I'd like them to lower the ilvl sync in Crystal Tower raids so that we can actually see the mechanics again, and to remove the incentive for gear cheesers forcing these for their queues bc their time is more important than 20 other players enjoyment of the game.
Bring back cross skills pls
I had this exact conversation with a friend a few weeks ago. Either put the CT raids in another roulette, or remake/rebalance the first two raids so that player skill actually becomes relevant again. I really don't understand gear cheesers. If they want to farm something, they could try to at least have a bit of fun while doing it.
Nothing that comes to mind at the moment, but definitely a button to hide player characters / models. Teleporting to city states is a bit irksome and any hotspots (especially on a new expansion launch) become messy & laggy.
Nipples.
*shrug*
So sue me, I'm tired of looking at Ken Dolls all the time, it's awkward.
Heavensward Astrologian card system, with some support-oriented replacement for TP / MP regeneration on spire and ewer, since we no longer have a use for that.
butt slider
Remove any sort of Technical debt, or limitations that plague the game..,<be they badly implemented, or Relics of the past like DeBuffs limits, poor storage, etc>
it'd be lovely if we could largely enjoy and ask for cosmetic <etc word here>.
it's starting to feel like we allow way too much.
Going back to the topic of more class customization, instead of asking them to redesign jobs again, here's a more conservative idea.
We know they have the ability to assign actions to the analog triggers. So I'd add a feature that provides a taste of the old cross class system, by having special actions that can be used by any job, which you unlock for purchase (poetics) after reaching Lv50 for the first time. For each job you make it to 50 an additional action is unlocked. You can then select 1 to assign to the left analog trigger/whatever the KB&M equivalent is, and you are free to unequip it and replace with a different action from the selection you bought.
The fights would continue to be designed without those special actions in mind so no one cries they would "have to grind to collect them" and if they still cried regardless who cares, certainly not me. But this would provide a tiny bit of extra flexibility inspired by Lost Actions. And of course, they would have their own cooldown, so not part of the GCD.
Would add gear rewards to V&C dungeons so they could become a thing and be a way of gameplay.
Topical today, but I'd want to either be able to zoom out more or have the bosses be smaller. The size they are in the newer expansions often sets off motion sickness and feels terribly claustrophobic.
