That should be the case anyways.
One weird argument I see against non-2 melee often is "It makes sense to have two slots dedicated to melee since they have nearly twice the number of jobs!"
Well, no, that doesn't have anything to do with party composition.
Assuming all role bonuses are met with 3 DPS and a party is waiting for a fourth dps, there are 8 options to choose from
4 remaining melee
2 remaining physical ranged
2 remaining casters
Melee already have twice the chance to get that fourth slot. Having the same number of melee and ranged remaining (4/4) means melee should get that slot 50% of the time, not 100%. And then there is a 25% chance for prange and additional 25% for caster. Forcing two melee isn't "properly giving melee jobs their spot", it's just blocking 50% of people who could join that party slot.
The fourth dps slot already makes the most sense as a "free" slot. Melee having more jobs already is properly accounted for
