Sage got something they took away from SCH and while their toolkits are fairly similiar both in function and potency, Sage has none of the issues SCH has like fairy skills ghosting/ triggering very late or skills locking you out of part of your toolkit like Seraph/ Dissipation. In addition to that, all their AF-like skills recover 5% MP and heal the Cardia target while SCH suffers from worse MP economy the more AF they have to use for healing.
Unless they fundamentally changed some things on SCH right after stating that there wasn't much they could do with this class and buffed a couple of skills without stating it (unlikely), Sage looks superior to what we currently know about SCH.
And if potencies behave differently after stat squish, it will affect all classes equally, not just Sage. We currently have 3 healers with almost identical potencies on their almost identical skills - how likely is it that Sage will suddenly be the only healer with lower potencies while all the other healers get theirs adjusted?
All in all, it's not looking good for SCH.
