So it's confirmed in the live letter today.

Offensive stance is gone. Tank stance penalties are gone and toggling tank stance is solely for generating aggro and nothing else.

That means you can stay in tank stance the whole time if you're main tanking with no penalty and nothing to worry about. No obnoxious stance dancing, no wasted gcd's swapping stances as pld or drk (if you turn on grit), and no more stupid arbitrary damage penalty. I'm ecstatic, I wanted tank stances gone entirely, but I'll take this as it's nearly as good. I'm VERY satisfied with this as it's something I've basically wanted forever.

I did. From the video they showed it seems Kassatsu will have; in the least, two charges giving you the possibility to use your Ninjutsu three times in a row if you wanted. But outside of that it really hasn't been covered.

Yeah, i'm really digging those tank changes going forward. Solidifies my decision to stay tank when the expansion rolls out.

Glad they changed tank stances. The whole you must tank in dps stance because you lose dps if you use tank stance in the current game didn't feel that great.

This makes me feel slightly better switching from being a dps main to tank. I can kinda have my cake and eat it too.

Slashing/piercing/blunt debuffs, Protect and tank stance swapping are gone and pure healing will be emphasized. Awesome! I will miss Dark Arts but this opinion seems unpopular.

Don't get excited quite yet. If bosses and mobs still do the damage they currently do, and heal potencies remain the same. You'll just afk for 80% instead of DPS. This game simply doesn't deal enough damage to warrant a pure healer focus. They have to drastically increase that or nerf heal potencies otherwise this will be a disaster.

I think we'll get over the loss of our DPS stances, now that Tank stances are basically only for Enmity Gen. now and have no offensive penalties.

My question now, though, is what will happen with Inner Release?

I'm not sure what to think about DNC... Tank changes really make me want to tank in 5.0. I feel really sorry for their tech problems, but hey it happens. Hope Yoshida gets over his cold soon. Thanks for the live letter SE.

from the brief bit i saw the 2 step dnc dance gives crit + 15% and direct hit + 20% though numbers were bit too blurry for me but it defenitely buffed both these stats so yea i think dnc might be meta XD

What was the exact time they gave for the benchmark?
