That quote is perplexing at best. Having a drg with piercing debuff is clearly visible to anybody that brds/mchs are going to try to pair up with them for dps gains. Another example is the way some buffs work rdm embolden doesn't help other casters in the group it helps physical dps. So of course a rdm is going to try getting in a group that has 3 physical dps for better raid synergy. Just started playing brd/mch and I actively look for groups in pf that have drgs cause quite frankly 15% of my dmg is locked behind them.

Edit- Also the devs are mainly referring to the stigma this community usually blows out of proportion not for coming up with the best raid synergy with the tools we are given.

You are not in contradiction with them here you know ? Yes the bard will seek a DRG, but because he wants to get buffed, he doesn't need to in order to clear.

What the devs are calling out is sheep behavior and confusion between whishing and needing. Obviously, there is an optimal combination, but not wanting certain class in your group is only ok if you"re trying to race. If you're trying only to clear or farm, who the heck cares taht your group has a WHM, a BLM and a SAM ? Sure you'll take 8mn30 instead of 8mn10 so f*king what ? That's what they're debunking, and saying they won't spend endless hours to balance classes to near perfection just for the sake of a few who only abide by meta.

What he said is not wrong, but it's not right either since having a RDM during prog is a clear advantage over not having one (they also confirmed that their dps IS gutted because of raise btw) so probably he's speaking in a general term of like you cannot do the content ever with a comp because there's an hardwall which is true there are no hardwalls on the game.

As much as I hate to do it, the only thing you can do to show your dissatisfaction is switch classes. They won't pay attention to try to figure out what is going on unless there is a severe decline in the number of people who play a class.

The problem as a whole comes from what I consider as a design flaw of many MMOs. This is from the fact that DPS checks are pretty tight when they are first introduced, leading people to find ways to increase their damage in anyway possible. Any damage at all could make the difference between success and failure (there were many times in Savage raids where I failed at less than 5%).

are we still yelling at each other over this post I mean seriously folks every class can anything meta comp just make it easy (have to have the skills on said job). everyone who posts on this forums are children

Just pointing out a non-meta party comp that took down gkefka in a PUG..took 1 lockout of practice, then we 1shot it
