I have a house, but the housing system needs a serious reworking. Dark Age of Camelot is 16 years old and it's housing system is better, same with Everquest 2. I'm sure there are plenty of other mmo's that they can look at to see how housing should be done.

That's what boggles me. No response from SE, yet the official forums are filled with backlash. Other online communities are even discussing it.

I'm on board for this, the entire release was tantamount to a school of piranha stripping a carcass clean seconds after it's dropped into the waters or the scene from far and away where people are KILLING one another over plots of land. There are even people auctioning off other peoples property on forums in hopes of getting them banned so that they can poach the property for themselves with no remorse at all for the victim that just happened to be lucky enough to be able to get online and get a plot.

I've read that servers can't really handle more than twelve wards without instabilities because on top of all the live instances that's forty eight additional instances that the server has to maintain at all times due to how the areas are implemented. So barring a server overhaul to be able to handle that load I doubt we'll see new wards open up any time soon...

Signed! More wards, and please, LARGE SIZED APARTMENTS!! A variety ranging from small, medium and large rooms would be great! To be honest, the only reason I want a mansion is because of the large room downstairs. There are no housing spaces you can configure to enter from the center of the room - other than the basement of a large house. The staircase in medium houses take up too much room, and makes it difficult to create a nice space on any floor. Same with smalls.

Always pains me to see this game miserably fail at certain issues which even F2P games solve without claiming they lack the necessary funds to improve their server infrastructure.

I don't normally do petitions, but this is something that needs to be addressed.
Housing is a supply/demand problem where the providing business is outright refusing to even attempt to meet demand, and then slapping people on the wrist for taking advantage of it. You don't get rid of the problem by telling people they aren't allowed to do it with the threat of the ever-looming ban-hammer. You get rid of the problem by either limiting it to one plot per account AND by ensuring that there are enough houses for everyone that wants one.
This isn't raid content that requires people to work together to achieve a common goal. This is blocking off content to paying players based on a false idea of exclusivity that leaves the majority of your player base feeling left out. You had all this grandiose talk of FCs and players running about the neighborhoods and socializing, and then blocked off the content from 90% of the player base.

I spent 8 months saving up gil for a medium plot. I leveled up gathering and crafting classes, and spent countless hours farming stuff to sell for the SOLE PURPOSE of getting a house.
I was emotionally invested into getting a house, ever since I heard we'd be getting a new zone. Back when we didn't even knew which zone would be.

And then, because of LESS THAN HALF A SECOND due to PING, probably, I got stuck with an unresponsive login button, which led me to a 1400-long queue to get inside the game, which made me only get inside when mostly EVERYTHING was already sold out. I'm torn betrween wanting to cry, wanting to unsub and wanting to punch someone. I almost don't raid, I don't have a static, what I TRULY wanted in this game ever since day 1 (and I'm playing since BETA) was a house so I could play decorator with my IRL girlfriend and her little sister.

Please solve this situation somehow. PLEASE.

give apartments a balcony to put some outdoor furnishing. Or if you need funding sell extra housing or wards for money like extra retainers. The pain of saving miliions of gil for nothing :mad:

I stayed up all night and have been saving gil for years to get a house....6am-6:01am all houses GONE. People bought mansions as private houses. So i hate this game now. And its made my day really awful. SE you are the worst. Poor planning, poor execution. Let people transfer on day 1..good job. Because they didn't already have houses. You make so much money off us and you can even provide us with a good customer experience. I hope you lose a ton of money from people unsubscribing because that's what you deserve.

I've lost complete faith in the housing system. I attempted to grab a Mist large today for my active FC, after the couple that opened up were bought before my character could even physically get there I checked the ward list only to see the majority of the plots I was interested in all are owned by Level 1 characters inside a 1-2 person FC. This just should not be allowed. Implement one personal house per account/world, Minimum level of character to be able to form a FC and meet the same requirements as the players who are buying personal houses have to meet. There is a solution out there, just need the right people to care enough to make changes. Releasing a new housing district was the perfect opportunity to fix these problems. This system may have worked when there were only so many players, but now that the player base has grown it's only fair to reevaluate certain things in the game to make it more fair for all.

I woke up early and prepared for this patch just to get my FC a home. Couldn't sign in due to queue and by the time I got in, every house, EVERYWHERE was filled. I will gladly sign this. SE please!

I saw the Reddit post of people looking to buy houses and people selling houses for a higher ass steep price. I contacted a small FC in my server. I got sick and tired of how this shitty system is. I ended up giving them my private house Free. They just had to buy the plot after I relinquished it. They wanted to pay me money but I declined. I even gave them the house deed which saved them even more money to get the house out.

SE FIX THIS FING SH*T YOU CALL A HOUSING SYSTEM.

Every FC at the Minimum should be able to purchase a house at any given moment. Small Medium or Large. If we are paying you for content and you are gating it behind owning a house. Make it possible to buy said damn house.

It is really unfair and heart breaking, unable to upgrade for our FC. Much joy and fun for me on FFXIV is about socialising and having casual fun. FC house is center of that. Yet, not only housing became a privilege, but seeing undeserving opportunists making selfish profits from multiple ownership and bragging about it? Makes me utterly disappointed, furious and sad. Housing market subreddit is already flooded with money hungry dealers asking for ridiculous prices (250mil+ for a large?) It is as if the game itself fuels this anti T&C and RMT behaviours.

Instanced, FC seperate from personal, limited per account - any of them sounds good to me. Whatever that will allow majority of the player base gain access as we, players who pay real money to support the game we love so much, should be entitled the rights to do so.

As a new player, it's incredibly frustrating that I can't purchase my own house. Everywhere on my server is full, and I'm on lower population server. It takes away from a part of the game that I would love to experience. Add more instances, or change the system altogether.

I had hopes to get one for my FC today as we were looking forward to it after saving up during the last months until we got money for a Large one, but we wouldn't mind even if we got a small one, which didn't happen as my game crashed when I was about to buy one. If games crashing and everything happening during the release of Housing is enough to see that more wards or a better solution is needed, I don't know what is.

With this said, I sign in this petition, although I'll doubt that it will be worth for something as I doubt they'll do anything.
