Miqo'te male first screen "ingame"

This Roegadyn is changing to Male Miquote, fuck yeah!

I want to see other models, with shirts and stuff. Looking good! :)

I hope it's not too late to make the following character design options:

a) more masculine haircut options.
b) options to make the character look older.
c) body hair options
d) I want my manthra to look like Kimari Ronso! I want a manly manthra not a pussy-cat!

Please make the above options possible. I have wanted a manthra for over 5 years :)

why would you think pink would be the only hair color option -.- and hell that is not even really pink, it is a very washed out pale pink-ish color, almost grey/white

Well it looks grey/white to me, I just read some posts that say it's pink and I take their word for it since I'm pretty horrible with colors.

It was a roundabout way of saying I'm going to be a Male Miqo'te in 2.0, though.

Looks like they decided to listen to that one guy's request for fabulous males.

I just hope it doesn't look too much like a female miqo'te when it actually has clothes on...

At the moment without the shirt, it's obviously a male with muscular definition. But that might be covered up with armor. Such as if you were to cover the chest in the 2nd pose in the OP's image, would that look like a male to you?

But in the end, meh... who really cares if you can't tell male from female. I get that all the time as a taru and lalafell.

I'm sure there are going to be way more customization options. Having just one model for everyone would be just downright silly, so don't worry folks. The ones who want a manly Miquote will have it, the ones who want an older looking one will have it, the ones that want a cat-boytoy will have it.

I've never understood the fascination with miqo'te in the first place. Cat heads on human bodies... then all the sudden a hairy tail? Gross!

Yeah, I was expecting something along the lines of Kimari or the Khajit (minus the cat faces) in Skyrim myself. I'm pretty sure the male Miqote design was created as a functional equivalent of the female Miqote design - lots of males running around as moe looking catgirls, so I imagine the male Miqote design is more for the fujoshis on the JP side who want their bishounen catboys.

That's all cool - I'm personally not a fan of the design, but we needed these genders to be in XIV, and I'd say this is a good start.

Is it too early to request /playwithaballofyarn -emote because that would be awesome in the middle of an Ifrit run.

If logic is to be followed, you will have the same hair color options avaiable to females. Given that makes sense. Also yes, that is a faded-almost-completely-white pink. Takes a bit of squinting to notice the pinkness.

Male Elezen resemble female Elezen, male Lalafell resemble female Lalafell, male Hyur resemble female Hyur and male Miqo'te will resemble female Miqo'te. Kimari Ronso don't resemble a Miqo'te in any way. You see with only 1 look that Kimari Ronso is not a member of the Miqo'te race.

Judging by my totally scientific and massive intake of opinions (based on the 4 vix players with two x chromosomes i was talking to last night and 1 male). 75% of all male miqote are actually going to be female players, and there all going to be running around in subligars with a 40% chance of shirts.

Given the totally set in stone and incontrovertible fact that All female miqote in game now are male players, Every things gona work out fine.

Once again get yer knickers out of the twist, its about time the female player base got a bit of fan service.
