I believe they've always been dyeable. The Hempen sets, that is.

And I'd be for unlocking the race-barrier on them. Gender barrier I'd prefer to keep if only to maintain some semblance of uniqueness there. And since when everyone can wear everything--especially when they were designed for specific races and genders off the bat--you get some weirdness. Within-gender works since only Lalafell and male Au Ra aren't standard body types in the game, without-gender lock things can just look odd or bad, aesthetically speaking.

Keep them race-specific.

I'd really enjoy having all the outfits possible. What a good idea!

for those saying keep them race specific, care to elaborate on why you feel this way. I would understand racial identiy but these arent racial sets. they are generic hempen sets. There is already a racial set

I find the "keep them unique" undermined by one fact.

Be honest, when was the last time you saw anyone wearing these? All this determination and strength of conviction about uniqueness and I would be willing to bet money they have not worn theirs in months at least.

Bonus bet, I bet if I started looking through the lodestone most are in allagan gear or some kind of trench coat because uniqueness is really important lol.

I can speak for all male roes, give us the highlander hempen undershirt style!

I'm wholeheartedly for this, for the sake of a chest piece that simply resembles a good comfortable sports bra and not some floofy rubbish.

I'd like to add my support to keep them locked. If they absolutely must be made generic gear, than for the love of god, please give us something else that's race locked.

Unlock them please! I don't know what you call what the male elezen get (do you just call them sleeves?), but I know I've wanted to wear them for quite a long time now.

Please unlock! As much as I like my lizard's bandeau/mini skirt set, I absolutely love the elezen sleeves and catboy croptop. Would buy and wear in a heartbeat.

The racial starting clothes fulfill the role of a lovely dyeable unique set for each race. There's even some cool lore about the sets in the lore book! The same restriction shouldn't be put on hempen gear which is much simpler in design and can be paired to make lovely combinations in some cases. When I switched to Au Ra the thing I missed the most was the female miqo'te hempen, and I would pay a stupid amount of money (or gil) for the midlander hyur female hempen. That's the best shirt for the lovely dreadwyrm healing pants!

I really miss using the Highlander Hyur hempen for glam but am Au Ra... and I can't stand it's hempen variant.
Please, please, please... Make this become a thing or implement some of the options in other ways so we can get them that way!

I see no reason for these to stay locked although i would like to see more race specific outfits.

I don't see any reason why locking stuff is a good idea. Yeah yeah "uniqueness" but I feel like giving people the ability to choose will also open up more unique options.

I'm sure some femroes like to be super tough buff queens, well, ok, but can I pretty please be cute as all heck in the lalafell pumpkin pants? Pleeease?

While unlocking it may cause it to lose its uniqueness per race, in the end it allows for more variant and unique glamours to be made... It might make a race less unique but overall you will find more styles unique..
