A Developer, can you please help us understand your mindset/protocol in responding to particular threads over others?

Commenting until the queue parameters are adjusted and the restriction removed~
It is bad but I admit the other issue I feel bad for is the PvPers who actually enjoy it, I say this because of the esoteric awarded you may get more people in but a good majority of those people (myself included) just don't care about PvP, we die we say "meh" tab out for a bit while waiting at the spawn or just kinda run around and look busy to avoid being kicked.
Am I the only one who has some sort of pride in my GC? I could not care less about queuing in with FC mates, unless of course they are Immortal Flames!
It's actually a fun aspect to me, as you never know who you are gonna get but you do know they are fellow flames. While you guys are crying about not being able to queue in with your FC mates/friends the rest of us are in there duking it out with our fellow Grand Company members taking down some sneaky snakes and those dirty pirates :)
I would honestly lose interest in PvP if there were no GC restrictions as they amount of pre-mades would skyrocket. Teams with voice chat and strategy outside of the parameters of the game. They are bad enough when you encounter them as it becomes nigh unwinnable once they get going.
These kind of people are the worst, just running around pretending to do things so they don't get kicked, just so they can soak in free tomes from the rest of our efforts.
Isn't that what large scale PvP is about? strategy?
I know I sound like I am shooting myself in the foot by saying it but yeah, free tomes for no work. If they remove the esos from front-lines I guarantee you see a boost of more serious people joining in. Now don't take it the wrong way I will play but my first death (being a healer and usually the only one in my groups am first targeted) I just don't care much after that xD
You're shooting ME in the foot. I enjoy the rewards despite not being a heavy pvper, but if there is a trend of lots of people going afk for rewards in pvp, they might just stop putting those rewards in.
If you are putting yourself into duty finder content with other people, there is no excuse for not actively playing the game. It's just dragging down the people you were paired up with.
Do it, SE.
Waited 77m in que this morning before saying F it. Absurd that the developers can ignore an issue like this. There are people who enjoy this aspect of the game and that interest (and subscription retention potential) is being squandered. Heck, WoW thrives because of its PVP community, which is the one thing that never grows stale once PVE content inevitably does. If they're so dead-set on pursuing that model, then do it correctly. Historically any game with 3 faction PVP has NEVER had balanced populations or ques. They need to fix this, and stat. A reply would be nice, even.
Militias (Gryphons/Wyverns/Manticores) - lore wise it's a simple shift where Adventurers join free militias and profit for working to control PVP areas.
That's hilarious xD

And what if the answer was no? They have to keep in mind all of the players, not just the ones making noise. Quite a few of us out there have zero issue with the GC restriction, it's actually a positive from my perspective. I have pride in the Immortal Flames, often times me and my FC mates queue at the same time and look for each other on the battlefield. We have quite a bit of fun with it, but bear in mind just because some people agree with you it does not mean we all do.
There are many great suggestions here for how we can remove the GC restriction without ruining the lore. It would make PVP life so much easier. And believe it or not PVP in this game is actually...FUN?!?!? So yeah, Yoshi P I don't think you realize how awesome PVP in this game CAN be. Please do your best to alleviate queue times and provide a greater experience for more of the player base.
Signed! I've been in queue for three hours waiting to get into one match. Three hours! The restriction seriously has to go.
Signed. I've not done much PvP, and only had 30 minute queues really, so fates in the meantime are ok., but I've actually enjoyed this PvP a fair bit (first time in an mmo) and would like to do a bit more.
Then it would be no? It would be nice to see a response. Either way theres no reason to have GC locked PvP. I regret picking the immortal lames. They just thirsty to storm off for kills and not doing objectives. If they wont take off the GC restrictions then let us keep our ranks when we switch GCs.
Restrictions make me a sad fellow.
Well now you've met two. I don't WANT to do PvP with the Adders or the Flames. Doing so loses the feel of PvP completely. There is no sense of pride or accomplishment without some form of faction. It's what creates competition.
A compromise would be releasing GC numbers, so we know what GCs have the least members, and then allowing people to be traitors by being able to choose what GC to queue as. Just don't force me to be a traitor. It ruins PvP for me.
PS. I've never had to wait that long for PvP. 30 mins at most for me.
Signed, I'd love to PvP but the ques literally take forever. LITERALLY!
I wait 191 minutes today before calling it quits. I can't even queue with my closest friend because queues are even longer not solo. Don't tell me to check english, or to join in progress, etc. I've tried all that. It's complete and utter ass. Just because you're not getting long wait times doesn't mean you get to continue your role playing. PLUS a lot of suggestions, which I completely agree with, simply suggest the option to queue as a mercenary. So continue playing with your flames or whatever. Let the rest of us queue up, solo or as a group, as mercenaries if we would like.

Strictly speaking, most players never visit the forums. And many visitors, even those with active accounts, will never log into the forums.
Compared to the amount of likes other threads garner, however, 250 is rather phenomenal support. Normally only the most popular get 100+.
Still waiting on a response, making sure this stays visible so that SE knows we're serious about this.

Just reading about a Party Finder calling for Maelstrom & Immortal Flames to team up and destroy Twin Adders in the next Frontlines Seize match-up; if the GC wasn't a determining factor players wouldn't be able to do things like this. It allows for grieving on a large scale as well.
Additionally random distributions of skilled/not skilled players on all roles would allow for more dynamic & fair matchups. Currently if your GC is perceived as weak - players dump it and move to a different GC continually disrupting and offsetting the queue balance - if your GC is too powerful it's singled out.
I feel like the long term popularity of PVP hinges on the GC restriction being removed at this point...
Don't get me wrong. I rather enjoy slaughtering Twin Adders. But you know what I enjoy more? Actually being able to PvP.
