is anyone else unable to connect to lobby server?

I got in for about 30min, then error 90kd again and now back to lobby error every time. At this rate I'll end up spending more time logging in than playing.

Been getting the 5006 error consecutively for the past 15 minutes.

Same thing happened to me (disconnected during a cutscene on Balmung). I can connect just fine to every data center except the one I was on at the time (Aether). Been like this for several hours now.

DNS flush works. You'll just be in a queue. Better than log error codes.

I just got in... after waiting on the 1 person in queue for half hour

and there goes balmung again

Cant connect. to data server get 2002 or 5006 errors for last hour and a half Gilgamesh Server


Update: 7:25pm Made it in for a whole 2 minutes and then poof- crashed again and back to 2002 errors

still cant play, this time its 5006 so thats new
i remember getting disconnected when i was entering the guild building thingy
its not about the server i dont get to even choose the server

My problem is this is a subscription game, no one should be criticized for being a little salty for not being able to play. They know how many pre-orders they had and whether or not they would be able to handle it. Poor preparation. Reminds me of the terrible launch.

I'm having issues with this as well. Managed to get in once, but stupidly decided to log out because I wanted to change my race back to Miqote. On Siren server.

I am having the same issue trying to get into Aether datacenter.......5006 and 2002 error.

Having the same problem on Coeurl as well.

how do i change my data center?

Gives me error 2002 at the moment. Maybe I'll try again after an hour.

made a new character on Aether datacenter , and i entered successfully no problems yet
chaos seems not to give a flying **** ( i meant cake )

Can't get in. Middle of the day that I took off to play and still getting this error. And no word from SE on it. Come on guys. Lt us get in the dang queues. Stop being predictably crappy and do something to fix this large scale recurring error...

so there is no fix to this yet? I'm assuming everyone affected were ones who logged out in Ishgard like I did. I'm still unable to connect 14 hours after the problem was first reported.

Ya, I'm on aether too. It's force-restarted the game more than half a dozen times now.

Hello Square Enix?? Is anyone even home and working on this? You havent said a word about it. lobby server error 2002 eternal frustration!

I was mildly panicked. Glad its not just me. Hopefully they fix it soon.

Yea I cant log on to Coeurl. I keep getting the 2002 and 5006 error. I was on earlier but logged off and came back like 15 minutes later and the error occurred. I think the only fix to this is to keep trying to log in. I think the error has to do with all the people trying to log on and play. I wish Square would just address it though and not leave us in the dark about it.

5k'd and 2k'd back to back. Square needs to get on this pronto since it's only the first day of access.

Reporting in from Faerie: got in just fine this morning, but I've been getting 2002 and 5006 errors ever since I got back from work.

probably would just be best to play during non peak hours at this point

Found a solution for the 2002 error:

Do something else while waiting for them to fix it.

2002'd for the last five hours or so. Figured this comes with all the traffic of the expansion early access.

Well I was on after changing my race back only to be disconnected or something cause when I came back into the living room after making dinner for my fiance and I the opening cs was playing. Now I am getting the 2002 again. Come on SE, address this situation, tell us you are at least working on it.

Well just got 2002'ed while attempting to swap characters. It's gonna be even worse when full launch happens when the rest of the player base comes in. They're gonna have to allocate more space for lobby logins..

Logged in with no problems at about 9 this morning (eastern time) just to make sure Alphinaud had a quest marker on his head. Been trying to log in this evening and keep getting 2002 also =\. Knew I should have blown off work today. I don't know what I was expecting though. Beta 4 I only got to play about 10 minutes of, and launch early access I missed entirely, due to the same volume issues.

EDIT: I was able to create a new character on Typhon server (Elemental data center) and get online with no problems. Whatever issue is happening is on the USA side at least. My regular data center is Aether (Goblin mainly).

If you are on a computer and trying to use DX11 try using DX9. DX11 gave me errors but DX9 got me all the way to the queue. Now I'm just waiting for the queue.

Now it's Forever in Queue spot number 1. I really hate to see launch if early access is like this right now.

I have not been able to connect a single second since Heavenward dropped, so much for early access.

Come on SE...for the love of the Twelve I missed the entirety of the original ARR game's early access for this VERY SAME REASON!!! :mad::mad::mad:

Took me over 30 minutes to get to the character selection screen, now im stuck at 17 in the player queue and its not moving at all...

this is getting annoying. It's been 4 hours since I was disconnected cuz of error 2002.

reason you're stuck is cause people aren't logging out. as they do, the number will go down. AFK kicks are in place, so as people idle, you'll get in.

But for some of us it kicks us back out during the queue and gives us the error 2002 code again!
