Oh, I'm sure they knew full well what would happen. That's why they did it.

Two wrongs do not make a right. That's exactly what is happening here. Immaturity fighting Immaturity and both sides are disgustingly repulsive.
What that guy said is 100% awful but everyone else acting holier than thou are equally in just as much wrong for their sicking witch hunt harassment.
"I don't support his opinions but I'll defend his right to say it." This applies here. Seeing how hostile people are in those Twitter replies where they are safe and protected from being reported honestly has me terrified for ever using these forums again. We're supposed to be a welcoming community but all I've seen is pure hatred and people engaging with schadenfreude. I don't even care what the guy said anymore is, because the cyber bullying, (and yes you guys are bullying), is far far worse to me. I can easily pass him off as a troll. This forum is congested with them. The witch hunting isn't trolling though. It's pure blatant harassment. Some are doing it just to gain Twitter follower fame. Like seriously? That's FAR more distributing to me. Some of you need a reality check on your behavior.
I wasn't going to say anything at all but I have zero tolerance for harassment.
The guy took his forum lumps in stride, too.
This part is key here. We, as forum users, can interface with each other and air out our differing opinions. We bicker, have bad takes, clash and sling some insults, but it's all happening where we are held to the same rules.
I found a post of mine clipped completely out of context on that twitter, but thankfully didn't get the treatment this poor guy did.
Pretty pathetic tbh that someone would go out of their way to try and witchhunt someone just because of their opinion. Just makes whoever did it look incredibly insecure about their own feelings and opinions. If you need to personally attack, criticize, or name call someone purely because you dont agree with their opinion...its time for a re-evaluation of your character.
And I am saying there isn't. He said he doesn't like certain styles. Did he say for specifically female characters? Sure. And I bet you anything that what he is referring to is more prevalently seen on female characters. Just because you want it to be about misogyny doesn't mean it is.
And you're doing the same deciding your interpretation is the only valid one. Pot meet kettle?
I think it's time to move on from this as quite literally you and Max are doing the definition of insanity: doing the exact same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
Your argument is “look for something that isn’t there. Something that wasn’t said” and you think that’s solid enough to stand on? To continue with the abuse of someone. Now you’re targeting maxcarnage too because you disagree. Read the room. The last couple pages are against the abuse and harassment
I discovered a new thing that makes me cringe.
Funny forum threads that devolve into Twitter vomit
oh my god, I used to have "meowdy, pawdners" as my greeting macro, and it made people so angry. It's why I switched to o/, because people don't get weirdly aggressive at me for it.
Anyway, I hate the idea of cringe. The only real cringe is people who harass or try to police others for having fun. Recently saw someone mock my au ra alt in public chat for being "cringe", which ironically made that person cringe herself.
Things in the game that make me cringe?
Zenos. He was great at first but quickly became overused.
The music transition going from Aftcastle into Maelstrom Command. It gets me every time.
G'raha Tia
Teledji Adeledji
Another brand new account made solely for dunking. I have never seen a horse get beaten to death so quickly in my life.
Love you too, honey~
I said just as much as anyone else, difference is I don't bother sugarcoating.
Making a forum account just to insult someone, no matter how odious that someone's opinions may be, is pretty cringe.
You wanted to see cringe and here is your cringe, the forums deliver.
I'll do no such thing. My friends and FC are being very kind in supporting me. Besides this, I have my own confidence and understanding of specifically what I had stated to you all with my first post, and I could care little about what others may say about me, imply about me, conclude about me, or if they find words I didn't say and say I said them: all of it's on them, because they chose to try and extrapolate a mountain from a mole hill after thinking they had smelled blood in the water and in an online forum, no less.
Don't bother replying to them. Or you will trap yourself into being taken down with them. They said more than enough that you can report and move on with your day. Don't fall for the bait of a throwaway account.
The point is to make it easier to find me, since I've got nothing to hide!
Anything I say here, I'd say elsewhere with no weight on my conscience. It's just a forum (I don't even use) for a videogame of all things, so I might as well have some fun at the expense of other people acting just as bad as me.
Let me be clear that I do not like Seymour. I do not like or respect his opinions one bit. There is a part of me that is delighted to know that there are people who are personally annoyed by how I choose to dress my characters. It tickles me that people are upset by me minding my business.
But like, he's still a person? I used to be an awful person with awful opinions, and it hurt a lot when people dogpiled me and it did nothing to make me want to become a better person. It just made me angrier. Spending my time insulting people I didn't like made me angrier too, because that was just me wallowing in negativity. You accomplish nothing positive by harassing someone.
Well yeah, it's true, this wouldn't be okay if it mattered and real harassment would be pretty messed up to be on the receiving end of. But at the same time, does anyone actually care about what happens on a game/forum?
Like, I know I'll get banned and just go back to whatever I was doing, as I'm sure Mr. Conviction Catboy will also do. Nobody's taking this seriously and that's the fun of it.
Messing up my opener.
Accidentally triple weaving during my burst window when I need to mitigate.
Messing up a mechanic and taking a damage down.
The topic has already long devolved into "Bad Glam Guy and White Knight Squad vs Random Twitter Dickheads", so yeah it's hard to care. But well, my first response was still pretty honest, if that matters so much to ya.
I do 'cringe' when people act like that. I don't go around putting people down unprovoked, but you gotta be able to take what you dish out, and this is a prime example of that.
Like c'mon man, y'all defending a guy who unironically refers to women as "females". If something's 'cringe', as little meaning as this word has nowadays, it's that.
Satisfied?

So I hope this explains a little bit about the reaction you're getting. The reaction has been markedly worse because you have stood your ground so shamelessly. If someone actually does come and find you in-game to harass you, though, please report them, because two wrongs never make a right. (Ergo, my apology for making fun of your glam.) If one day you're able to learn from this experience--I really hope you can--then the future will be bright for you, and people will eventually forget all about this. And you don't have to change a thing about your character, name, or account.
You'll be told that you have the right to your own opinion, but you can't go on stage at the Republican National Convention and talk shit about God, Jesus, or Trump without expecting to be beaten up before you get to your car. And you can't police people's (especially not women's) clothing and look in a progressive space. Just like you can't call gay people the f-word or mistreat someone because their character has dark skin. In truth, none of us have the right to have every opinion that exists because opinions lead to ideas, and ideas lead to actions. And in human history, there are countless of examples of good people engaging in really, really bad actions for reasons they thought were really good at the time. Having lived through the 20th-century, we're justifiably wary of certain opinions and any mentality that pretends that bad ones should have no consequences.
Who gives him that right?
Why do the people who disagree with him not have the same right?
I find it kind of amusing when people regurgitate culturally-specific norms and idioms like they're universal rules that apply to all species in the universe at all times. Amusing, but in like a tragic way. Kind of like the time I got into a car accident with this guy who ran a stop light and I broke my hand without it having impacted anything. Like, wtf, hand? You broke because you got nervous or something? (It was probably the strength with which I held onto the wheel to keep from being moved by the force of the accident, but still. Weird, and lol, but also ow, and sad face.)
Also it's funny to see him going from "females shouldn't do this or that! >:C" to "aw thank you but that's your opinion uwu", a 180º if I've ever seen one.
It's almost like both sides of the initial conflict realized how literally nothing said here matters and stopped taking it seriously! As it should be!
Addendum on a real talk note: there's also no 'harassment' going on. It's about as bad as someone saying mean things to you in a voice chat or something. I don't see any legitimate death threats, doxxing, nobody seeking him out on the street to beat him up or something. No continuous interference on everyday presence in one way or another. That's what harassment is.
At the end of the day, I'm sitting here taking the piss out of people who take themselves way too seriously, and you're engaging me back to make yourself feel better, in a forum where everyone is anonymous and only represented by a videogame character, and the only consequences are wasted time and likes.
If you think anything here matters or will affect people, not sure what to say!

On the matter of yellow, I must wholeheartedly agree. And so does my bun alt. (More leg than you say you like, but I think we've established that I don't care about that. ;) )
