How much gil do you have on you?

With one crafter class at lvl 50, GSM probably being the best if you aim to make money, you can make quite a lot. And I find that the more gil you have, the easier it becomes to make more - since you can afford more expencive mats, which in turn gives you access to items that yield a greater profit. I'm currently at about 400k, but I could probably have a lot more if I tried. Crafting glamours is one of the better ways to earn fast cash.

Nearly 6 million, and the remaining 14 million on my retainers.

7m at the moment.
Monday I had 11m....most made crafting, gathering and selling maps, which I was saving to buy a house (silly me I though that was going to be enough for a big house, and it wasn't even enough for a medium....)

When I got home from work tuesday, all small houses in Lavender & Mist were gone. Only mediums left starting over 30m.
Goblet has small houses left but I don't want a house there and i'm not paying for something I don't want.

I was still crafting with my patrician set, so I crafted myself the full culinarian, weaver, blacksmith & armosmith HQ set at spent 4m fully melding them...

Just over 500k. I haven't ever farmed for gil, mostly I sell off drops I don't need and items that I made completing the crafting log.

10M. Was as high as 14M before I finished leveling my solo FC to rank 6 a couple months ago and bought a small house then. Glad I didn't wait for personal housing.

I made most of my gil SB'ing crafting materia. The bottom seems to have fallen out of that market now but my gil needs are very low now also. My balance keeps growing back up through SB and now desynth (selling the battlecraft demimateria - keeping all fieldcraft and mastercraft so I can upgrade my crafting tools = got about 3M gil worth of those in inventory). Once I have my immediate gardening goals finished (got all the dye fruits and choco food I need for awhile, working on broombush and glazenuts now) I'll probably start selling that stuff.

Roughly 6 mil, poor compared to various FC mates.

As I said, many of the players with alot of gil won't post their amount (and sill haven't), so this thread is not going to be a full picture.

Before the patch i had around 5M since i was saving up for a house. but now around 900k preping for the ninja novus before prices spike.
in General id guess your average player would have around a mil so really dont get where they are getting these numbers from.

I have 300k and haven't ever gone over 500k, but i don't craft very often and have consistently been poor in every mmo i've ever played. Not complaining, just reporting. I don't like grinding solely for money and have long since resigned myself to the fact that that attitude will leave me digitally penniless.

OP: Will you be going through this thread at some point and getting a sort of average or some sort of stats you could add to your original thread post?

The problem with sampling from reports in this thread is the vast majority of player don't bother with the forums, and that vast majority may have at most one level 50 and you can't expect them to have the multi-millions as some people would report here. And the people that share their information here are a self selected group of likely enthusiast so you can expected value should be biased towards the high side.

A little over 600k, I sell things when I can for a decent profit, but I don't watch the market boards like a hawk either.

I have 12.6M and 1M on each retainer.

I really do appreciate the OP for putting this thread up. The information here is very enlightening. I think it is NOT a stretch to say those with multi-millions usually have more than 2 crafting classes at level 50 and and also multiple combat class at 50.

Me and a friend started a new FC from scratch, leveled it and bought a house (and furnished it in lavish fashion) in just under a months time. (and we both have day jobs)

I have all crafters to 50 except cul (45), all Gathers to 50, and BLM, WAR, and WM to 30, MNK to 50 with the rest of the classes above 15

most I ever had was 200K, but then again I get very little play time and no crafter classes at 50 yet. I'm slowly leveling those along with a gathering class because they seem to be the key to making quick gil fast even with little play time.

/sigh we'll see...

Just about to 3 million as of yesterday. I had around 500k at the start of 2.2, and nearly 2 million by the time 2.3 hit. I've just been doing dailies for the most part, so dungeon rewards, daily hunt marks, treasure maps, retainer field explorations, beastman dailies, and challenge rewards have made up the bulk of my earnings. I've only had a few "lucky" drops to sell or craft into sellables, which would have been worth about 750k of the total. I do have some crafting supplies that I could turn into a fair bit of cash if I wanted to, as well.

Had close to 2 mil at one point but now have around 800k
I do not craft but made most of my gil from botany
My retainers just bring me fish more often then not so not gil made from them, they are sooo fired ;)

I had 1.7 mil when I logged in yesterday, only reason for that is an Ifrit wall mount sold for around a mil when I was logged out. After finishing the beast tribe quests and purchasing all of the minions, I'm sitting at aound 1.5 mil now.

I'm broke as hell. Sitting at 13k.... damn power leveling leves.

13.1 Million gil here...just started getting gil within the last three months though, saving up for our house :) 2.4 looking forward to it :D

5.9 mil. No crafters/gatherers leveled. It's so ridiculously easy to make money in this game with the tiniest amount of effort.

3m after bought 2 medium houses - one for my old FC and one for my own FC (me and my wife) and spent a lot on desyn and novus.

Even I have all master crafts (i70 or i75), I do not crafting much. The tricks:

- sell one treasure map a day (30k) and daily roulette/log/hunt (20k easily) = 50k * 30 = 1.5mil a month
- SB and sell materia (a tier IV can sell 100k to 600k, tier 3 or some tier 2 can sell 10k to 50k) = easily 2 to 3mil a month.

Of course, I have other ways to make gils easily. I just name the above as it is so easy for many players.

hovers around 350k, might dip to 280k for raiding and weeklong tele costs

a bit more than 8mil.
no legacy.
almost all quests done.
close to all lv50 craft (not ot brag, just to specify I farmed, bought and crafted stuff for them). never crafted for moneys (not yet).
ventures everyday, mainly sold what I got (and no, I am not lucky with what they bring back; usual junk).
roulettes almost everyday (let's say 90%; just ex, trials or low level for other classes from time to time).
map everyday (never sold a minion).

700-800ish. I try not to look to close.

And that is only because I gave up getting novus. Can't even afford to craft gear to spirit bond anymore.

"They have more than I have" could have easily meant combined as well. So the 16 retainers could have a total of 31 million, which is more than his 30 million pocket change.

61 million would leave you broke if you bought a large un-depreciated house in my server, and Goblin is by no means a large server. The pointless part is speculative; I can't speak for everyone but I'm anticipating the Golden Saucer and there isn't a number of Gil that feels like "too much", in case it will be used in some way or form.

I even guess that maybe Golden Saucer will put Allagan pieces to use so I have 5 stacks of tin, bronze, silver and gold. If they aren't used, I'm out nothing because I can vendor them for pure gil gain, and many of these I have gathered were bought for less than face value from the MB so I would even gain a small profit.

I was able to buy 5 platinum pieces as well, but those cost me more than they were worth :rolleyes:

500k ATM; was at 3.6mil when the patch went live but borrowed 3 mil from my raid SCH and bought the house of my dreams in Lavender Beds (did not actually want any other house, not even M or L ones lmao). Said raid SCH was at 13 mil pre-patch but has since spent nearly all of it helping various friends finance their homes. He has no crafts or gathers leveled...earned it all doing merc work.

Mercing might be seen as scummy, but there really is no easier way to make gil. And this is coming from me, a three-star crafter in all crafts but ARM and CRP, and a one-star gatherer as well.

23 million, bought a small house already, I have about 4 waiting to be Sold. I should have waited for a medium, but I thought they would be sold out right away.

I've got like 4.3 million on me now. I had about 9.4 million saved up before buying my house and some furnishings.

1.5 Mil and a fart.
Mostly gained through Roulette and Dailies, because Gathering is the driest most off-putting thing I have ever attempted in a video game, which means I won't be making any money through Crafting any time soon.

My most expensive purchases so far are occasional glamour prisms and a couple Beast Mounts.

Not enough to buy a small house on my server...

As a semi casual (full time job, few hours to play each day) I am wondering how much gil I accumulate in the course of a day... I started making a list of what I earned last night but realized that most of the gil I was getting was due to the challenge log's recent reset. I think I'll need to track this over the course of a week at the next reset.
