When is all this awesomeness going to be in the game?
Oh and as Kuwagami pointed out there's no way that's Ultros.
They said it's a known octopus but looks like an ordinary squid to me.

It is a known octopus, but from earlier games than FFVI - it's meant to be Kraken from the very first FF game (and FFIII, IV, IX and XI too for that matter). So Yoshi is correct, from a certain point of view.
I'm really excited for this patch/new content! Crystal Tower is one of my favorite contents and I'm very glad to see more of it. Ramuh's battle theme is awesome, I get the chills when I hear this. Music really makes FFXIV stand out from other MMOs. I hope Syrcus Tower has some awesome battle music they didn't want to spoil to us yet.
I just hope that the music will play though out the whole dungeon and not just beginning of it then all I have to do is drag the other sliders down and keep the bgm up. I read in a previously post that in the trailer we got a tease of a new egi can someone post a screenshot or the time on the trailer telling me that's when I should look for it.
I need all the OST on iTunes. . . :S
when are they going to place it on the store????
I want Ramuh beard glamour....
That sort of arpeggiated chord is a very, very common element of organ music. I don't disagree that there are similarities, but I still don't think it's nearly enough to say it's "a clear reference." It's just as easily a "clear reference" to any number of Bach compositions.
While I'm not ready to board the conspiracy theory train just yet, there are a few contextual clues that lend weight to Kaizlu's observation. The first is that FFXIV is explicitly a fan service game. You better believe if it looks like a FF reference, if it sounds like a FF reference, if it taste... wait... well anyway it's almost certainly a FF reference. Soken has demonstrated before - especially if you listen to his commentary about some of his earlier FFXIV work - that he has the capacity and intention to think very deeply about every note in his compositions. I don't know if it means something or not, but I would be extremely surprised if the similarity was not at least an intentional nod to FFVI.
Generally speaking about the trailer - as I have not yet commented on it - I am quite satisfied and I am looking forward to all of the little things that did not make it into the trailer. In my experience, some of the most exciting changes rarely translate well into video, such as quality of life improvements or class adjustments.
