Leviathan. 90k from halitali hm. Went through this yesterday, thought they fixed it. Ya know, i read the comments. They said "We are monitoring the network traffic.......". What the hell good does that do? Your servers cant handle the load? Upgrade them! You have a good game SE, people want to play it. More and more come everyday. I have played WoW and Eve online, i cant say that i have exp this with those to this level. Maybe its time to stop patching the software for a bit and start accomodating higher loads on your hardware. 5000 ppl per world at one time is clearly not enough, and even then, the lobby servers you route through cant even handle the traffic volume. You must do something, id just as soon go back to eve! Ive been logged on with 30000 ppl at one time there. AT ONE TIME. 30000. It can be done.
wow seriously? Do you have nothing better to do with your life than complain. Seriously? You try being a network engineer and fix this issue. It isn't something to be simply solved with a flick of a switch. All MMO's suffer from this problem. Even W.O.W has this problem from time to time. Be patient and wait for the servers to be back up.
Down again. Balmung server. Don't mind waiting for a problem to be fixed so long as I know it is actively being worked on in a logical manner. However this is ongoing and a case of trying use band aids to reattach a limb: Its not gonna work. See a real doctor.
Speaking of which. WoW just released Warlords of Draenor and they ran into massive log-on queues, server crashes, extremely crowded zones (because they figured that they're just going to send everyone to whatever major city it was designated as which caused huge lag with hundreds of people in the zone at a time) AND they got DDoS'd at the same time. Not a fun day to be a Blizzard employee, that's for sure.
I'm wondering if someone is taking a poke at the SE servers.
Gilgamesh. I had a 90k earlier as I went to grab my weekly hunt mark from the board, followed by the lobby error. After sever failed attempts to get into the game again I waited for a while (about 20 min). Which finally let me get back into the game, it promptly booted me with another 90k followed by lobby error in 5 minutes. This is starting to get annoying especially after the bout of lag/90k's this last weekend.
Honestly I don't blame people for raging. This game has regular maintenance which is supposed to prevent this from happening. One occurrence is understandable, but multiple occurrences is not cool. They bring the game down for emergency maintenance for the smallest of things, but not this? Come on.
U know what? I PAY for this. I have to work, I have limited time to play, and every time I want to play there are tons of problems on SE side.. Why the hell???
This really seems like it can't be a simple server issue. It's happening every night around the same exact time. DDoS?
Seriously, I'm tired of "patiently" waiting for you to fix these errors. We pay for this. For some of us this is our prime time of play during the day. Fix your errors and let us enjoy the game. You shouldn't be having these problems. The excuses that you just have a patch shouldn't be even existent. Test your patch, find your errors, fix them, release the patch. I fully support everyone that is raging and complaining about the errors. Man you guys are competing with the vast amount of Pay-to-Play MMORPGs that are out there. and you're tinkering with one of the GREATEST franchises that have ever existed. For some of the new generation it will just mean a bad game. But for people like myself and more it will mean a crack in the foundation of the history of Final Fantasy that revolutionized my gaming experience. You have alot of pressure on this game. I'd put more effort/pride into making a worth experience for your players.
I think it does need to be said that it probably wasn't the brightest idea to put every single Western Server in the exact same spot, Montreal being that spot.
Can't even complete daily expert roulette cuz party keeps dc'ing.....we need our daily poetics!
Oh yeah, I'm trying to complete Curtana Zenith and that's probably not happening. Keep getting kicked out of the last roulette I need for the soldiery.
I think I've disconnected maybe 5-6 times by now.
I also work and have limited time to play. Unfortunately, network problems are not easy to debug. Until then, there's not much we can do besides hope SE figures it out.
Players have a right to be angry. But network problems are never easy to solve. x_x
I can't connect. I was online for 5 minutes and disconnection, disconnection no re-connection at all!
The strange thing is, that is seems to be entirely fine during Eastern Prime Time but not Western. I doubt more players log in from the West.

yeah its been happening to me since last weekend I get booted off then I get 5006 and have to keep retrying to log for 5-10 mins before I can get on I was hoping the patch would address this seems to have done nothing are they working on this?
First time I've had crazy lag issues forever tonight, but tonight the lag was so bad it was almost unplayable. Coeurl.
This is pretty bad. I hope there is make good, I have lost out on HQ mats and shards while crafting, and potentially losing out on Poetics and Soldiery if this persists. Paying for a game that I cant play... I can only image the number of people who will un-sub.
Turns out Japan servers is getting this as well...maybe its not where the servers are this time?.. DDOS attack?

And really, I do not care, u have zillions of money to solve this - then why DO I PAY for the game I CANNOT PLAY?
The funny thing is, I usually don't have problems with XIV since I'm pretty close to Montreal. Now I know how others feel.
Question though. I've never 90k'd so badly in an instance before. I'm not going to be lost in The Void, am I?

I don't know about the other data centers, but I was able to log into my alt character on the Gaia data center (Ultima server, JP server) without any issues. Too scared to log into Midgardsormr right now. @_@
I suppose I could mindlessly grind my level 9 MRD for a bit.
I'm on Behemoth cant do anything in game dc every 5 minuets and I'm on pc im not the only one on Behemoth i cant run dungeons or anything so i can get sol and poetic for gear Wats the point in playing if i cant ever stay on for more then 5 minuets
Nope. I'm getting 5006 errors and 2002 errors as well. I'm on Shiva and my ISP just resolved itself so IDK what's really going on but this is getting utterly silly and ridiculous.
D: I was gonna grind out some poetics tonight but I guess I'll be playing Dragon Age. SE, why have you forsaken us? /weeps

omfg last night they do a 5 hour server reboot during my primary gaming hours. Now I spend two hours on paperwork and log in to game and, oh, look at that, DCing every fucking five minutes, if I can connect at all. FML
SE, pls, give me my money back.
Thing is, I have been constantly monitoring my router all day and it is clean as a whistle.

Spamming that you want your money back wont help anything, go to mog station and see if you can pause your subscription until this problem is fixed-adequately
