SCH... are we used?

This right here is exactly why I found AV easier than most AK groups as a SCH. I get dps that take the liquify lines on top of the usual 300-400 murder holes hitting random people. It's not like SCH are good at fixing their group damage problems in a single spellcast...

To be honest SCH is super useful. Their AOE/barrier attracts less hate/enmity along with their single heals vs WHM. Also their damage barrier drop is super useful in Garuda Hard Primal and I guess easy. [When she jumps up and destroys the rocks your team takes hella damage ^^] Regardless, my team that does Titan hard ALWAYS takes at least 1 SCH. As crazy as I might be my next relic I am going for the SCH book. SCH balances out WHM now so they don't really/shouldn't be spamming heals and collecting all the hate. SCH can spam. Whm can't.

Sch is better for the demon wall simply for the fact that it has Dots I can hit all 3 each round with maybe needing to do one or 2 succors at the most only more then that if the dps fail to kill the bee's fast but I have been in a few teams that can down it before the bee's pop.

Lol, sorry. I have WHM and SCH at 50 and WHM far out damages scholar. Healing Demon wall is a nightmare on my SCH if the group is bad. I can carry awful groups through the fight on my WHM no problem. They each have their moments to shine but Demon Wall is not scholar's.

if you PLAY both classes, you will see theres no way SCH be on par with WHM in a PUGed demon wall, on both paper and reality. And WHM outdpses SCH simply for the fact it has more mnd to swap to int when needed. SCH has way more abilities inherited from ACN but they aint all that useful (no real AoE for example).

When I want to quest, I flip a switch a do it as SMN.

SCH I don't believe was ever meant to be a main solo heal role. It's basically a support healer to a WHM. I have done the Demon wall on SCH and with some of the parties who are not well geared it is a nightmare. I still love my SCH. The class in itself SMN/SCH are both support classes. It isn't really a main DPS and it isn't really a main Healer.

I wouldn't make up labels for who is what. Too open for interpretation, and usually inaccurate.

Call it for what it is; SCH cannot make up for mistakes soft-headed people make in 4 mans nearly as well, efficiently, easily, or as fast as WHM. That is all that's being said here. Demon wall happens to be the best situation to see that in action.

That fght mechanic is very unfogiving for SCH, but it doesnt mean SCH is inferior/intended as support heal. No one want to play as support for another classes, SE went so far as making traditional pure support ilke BRDs to be DPS support classes, they shouldnt want to make SCH be purely a support heal in a game with only 2 healing classes (the same can say for tank, look at how loudly people cry for a WAR fix). Right now the issue is being masked by piles of class-breaking bugs, once its been shorted out we ll see if its true.

Besides, dont assume things from a single dungeon boss fight with random people.

and don't forget WHM damage was nerfed from 1.0... For those that don't believe me look up King Mog fights with 6/7 WHMs.... they would all pop holy at once and king mog would spawn... a group of BLMs could never pull that off... even using ancient magic.

So many forget about +30% skill / cast speed. Oh well.
