Final things THAT NEED to be in this game

Knowing a retainers name doesn't help the community it may help the Economy but you may want to talk to the crafter and get on good terms with them. Gives a reason to message somebody that way you can bargain a price, make a new friend, try and purchase an + item so they can avoid tax. All of those things make interaction between players happen or at the very least give the possibility to do so and that helps build the community. There was many times on FFXI where I had went straight to the seller/crafter for materials and negotiated to get a better price or an exchange of craft services and that was always awesome feeling to me and gave a feeling and sense of accomplishment like I had just made successful business deal.

I see your point and I take note but my point is that it would help with community building and there is not any if, and or but to it.

I can agree with that. I would like to see a Message option on retainers. Basically just like you can do for Bazaars... Crafters could write a message that would appear when you click on a retainer. That way, if they would like people to know who they are, then they can write their character's name in the message.

You have to keep in mind that some people might not want to be "famous" as crafters.

I can see that point to some extent as well but then again the people that want to be famous are and the ones that don't want to be usually aren't. They don't usually promote themselves they just turn personal profit and the big crafters are the ones usually selling the NQ and HQ items and you see there name every time you go check the AH. Perhaps they could add an anonymous feature when selling stuff, that way those people could be happy and it would be in turn pretty neat because I have never seen anything like that in an MMO.

Sure. They could just add the name of the crafter somewhere in the Retainer window. That would be fine too... then just put an anonymous function for those that don't want it. That's also a good idea. ^_^

I am still for AH over Retainers =p, but It isn't anything that is game breaking to me.

I prefer the current system because the only real negative (for me... some may not consider this a negative) it has compared to say, FFXI's AH system, is that I have to run to the NPC rather than getting the item instantly. I'm very much willing to do that in exchange for having a less exploitable market system.

I made a generalized statement that mmo in general do not need an AH system. That I seen games run for years w/o one and have tone of players.
PPl dislike market wards for the fact they got to walk around and don't get the Item instently. Well based on what ppl said.

Party flag I agree it would be nice to have.

anime is fine, its pretty much outpost warping with lore tied into it. Anime is pretty much a fail safe so we don't die from teleporting to the crystals, as it "stresses the body". Outpost warping didn't ruin exploration for ffxi.

rest of the stuff is hit or miss.

there is another negative that will have to be dealt with when the time comes
and that is limited space in each ward.
eventualy, with enough players, the wards could actualy fill up......(ps3 release?)
of course the solution then is for people to use more then uldah(gee another concept that sounds familiar to the behest one filling one and using other camps)

but thats a bridge to cross when it gets there, and can also be solved by opening up new rooms when it gets bad.

In another jp mmo i played before, they have bulletin note with retainer that players can leave message there for bargain or any deal. When the owner back to retainer, he ll see all message with name and can choose whether to send tell or reply in same bulletin (good for offline contact too)
