Synth durability has NOTHING to do with the final products durability. It is the integrity of the ingredients during the synth. 100% complete is 100%. 100% is one whole. One whole item is a whole item which is a whole item not a 'broken item'
What your saying is when you finish a synth with 1 durability it is a POS item. If you finish a synth at 100% then you should get the item period.
What they need to do is re-calculate the final synth and if its durability hits zero have it display 99% on the screen. I could live with seeing anything but that 100%. hell make is say 99.99% i don't care.

I think you shouldnt lose mats if you have 0 durability/ 100% progress when you finish with said item.. Basically you dont get the final item but you dont lose the mats either or maybe you keep 50% of each material used. Now if it's 0 durability/99% progress then yes, mats should be lost.

Or they could just change the system from durability to "Attempts". The higher your level / crafting skill, the more attempts you have to reach 100%. As far as the touch up command goes, it could be based on how many attempts you have left after you finish an item. If I craft a shield and I have 5 attempts left, I can use those 5 to touch the item up.
I don't mind the system now but then again I'm only a level 17 AS/BS so it may get harder as I level up ;P

Or they could just say no, deal with it.
Like they just did.

What if they adjust it to where if you reach 100% progress, and 0 durability you get to keep said item, that item will always be at 0%, and could never be fixed. Also you would get no sp, only the worthless exp. I mean you produced garbage you should expect garbage as your reward.
