Am I reading this correctly? Does this mean the companion mount will no longer work with Mount Roulette? And that to even ride it I would first need to use a Green, summon him, then mount him?

Why can't we use any mount with our chocobo summoned? >_> And why is making it so we can queue for dungeons with the chocobo out such a low priority?
I'm not sure how using the already available mount-summoning animation (doesn't have to dismiss the chocobo - you just ride while it runs along with you, like a companion) is more complicated than creating a new animation.
This is yet again another instance of "Well, we're going to let you play the game, but only in the very narrow path that we've chosen for you, regardless of how logical or reasonable our restrictions are."
Jesus people.
All he is saying is that if you have your companion out and fighting with you the only mount you can call until you dismiss it is the Grand Company Mount aka the one that you are fighting with.
If you don't have your chocobo summoned then mounts work like normal.
I'm hoping that's the case, but his wording was poor. What he should have said was "If your companion is out, you will only be able to call your Companion to mount." Which seems obvious anyway. But the way he worded it made it sound otherwise.
I don't think having your Companion out with DF up was low priority persay, just there was likely a fair bit of work and troubleshooting involved to properly implement it. They basically had to recode so that your Companion is ignored by the Duty Finder which means essentially flagging you as being in a party (with your Companion) AND solo at the same time. Camate's wording is a little odd but I imagine it IS meant that while your Companion is out you can only summon IT to ride. This makes sense since you'll be able to dismount and continue fighting with it.
