Reporting people via the chatbox

have alot of people blisted b/c of this...an easy way to report them would be awsome

This needs to be implemented pretty soon if you ask me. Sure you can copy and paste but two clicks is by far the easiest way.

It's such a hassle to report and add RMT's to the blacklist on a gamepad that I usually can't be bothered with it. Then again I have to live with all the spam instead :( An easy mark-and-report/blacklist through chat-window needs to happen ASAP.

Yeah, not having an easy way to get rid of the spam is litteraly bad design.

BTW, add the ability to clear the black list in one go. At the actual rate, mine will be full soon and I frankly DO NOT WANT to remove 200 entries each with a confirmation dialog once a proper anti-spam is implemented.

Fastest way to block them is right click on their name and click send tell.

chat box pops up:

/tell Gold Seller

Replace tell with /blist add "Gold Seller"

You have to have the quotes around their name. SO much easier than trying to type gibberish into the add box in social window, most of their names are almost as bad as NPC names in game.

Hopefully they're going to implement something soon. The whispers are annoying, but in cities, it's just a spam fest. I can't even see what others say. Also with no "easy" way to make gil, some people may be more tempted to use them. If people never bought in game currency they wouldn't exist.

I'm also surprised at the "We don't want to implement such an easy way to blacklist people because you may blacklist the wrong person." O.o It would be easy enough, I would think, to add "Do you want to blacklist Rfdh Rfdh? yes/no" whenever a name is right clicked.

It bites that I have to have shouts disabled. I used to love having them on because I would enjoy helping people who shouted for help or advice...but I couldn't take the gilsellers anymore. And it takes too much work to spelld their facerolled names in the "Add to Blacklist" box.

So I support this thread.

I have been playing for 2 days, and have Black Listed 6 people so far for gil spamming and turned off shout, but they just whisper you anyway.
Not sure if it is related, but I've also been receiving an alarming number of friend requests from a random lot of people who are both Level 1, and in an entirely different starting area.

It has been mentioned, but the ability to right click and add them to ignore/report would be much appreciated. It is incredibly tedious to have to enter each name manually, especially when sometimes the names fly by so fast you have to wait through a few rounds of their spamming to get the full name.
You could also remove the ability to post websites in chat.

SE, please implement this asap.
