Thank you.
Great work putting this together. I like to play with a group of people that I know is mature enough to handle basic talk of the day. "How was your day?" "Oh me and the boyfriend went to the movies." without getting a bunch of hate and filth. A list of possible friendly guilds is a great thing for the community.
Holy wow! I go away for 12 hours and come back to a whole lot of action! Sweet!
You've been added to the LGBT-friendly section. Thanks for providing a website!
I've added Eternal Sanctuary to the LGBT and allies section. Nifty pointer on your website, btw!
Gayme0n was already on the list in the first section. Their official name is Noctis Crystallum, but I've indicated that they're the Gayme0n community in their blurb.
You've been added to the first section as well! Hopefully you can get your login issues sorted out soon.
Added to the second section for now. Do you guys have a community site or recruitment thread I could link to, and possibly confirm when section you belong in, how to display your group's name, and stuff?
I've updated your entry with that link as well as a blurb taken from it.
Okay, done. Let me know if/when that changes.
Our Free Company has been established! Saint Faction is now recruiting to expand our company! Website and application links are in the original post :3
Hi Mhaeric! Awesome to see that you transferred this thread over from the beta forums.
As I mentioned back then, I have now created Kupo Troop, a free company on the Goblin server that I would classify as LGBT-friendly. We're still growing, but our original core members are a group of irl friends/family who have known each other a long time and have fun and play well together. Our new members so far are very friendly as well.
We are a semi-casual FC focused on progressing together through PvE content (eventually reaching endgame raids and such) as well as helping each other out PvE-wise (i.e. it sucks to be stuck on he main story quests because you can find a Duty Finder group...so a friend and I will usually help by insta-queueing people as Tank and Healer :P). We also hope to break into PvP content when it is released down the road.
LGBT-related, we have some members who identify as such, but we accept all members regardless of any labels. We also have a strict respect/anti-harassment policy that everyone is expected to adhere to and it's detailed on our website kupotroop.enjin.com
People can either briefly apply there or contact me in-game. We're in open recruiting and have no actual requirements for joining outside of our respect policies.
Bump for great justice!
Any LGBT LS on a Japanese server that plans to transfer back to US server when they can?
Whoa, this list got huge! Good to see it back, Mhaeric.
I've just started my Linkshell, which will hopefully expand to a Free Company in the near future. It is not specifically a GSSM group, but I defer to you whether you want to list it under friendly or anti-discrimination.
"Gamut" on Balmung
Website: http://gamutgaminggroup.net/
A quote from our FAQ, which I think is the most pertinent to this thread:
"Q. Is Gamut an LGBTQ group?
A. No. Part of the basic philosophy behind Gamut is that respect and decency should not be reserved for 'special interest' groups, but should be a given in any community. As such, Gamut choses its members not by some specific attribute, but by the quality of their interaction with others. After all, even when a person belongs to an oppressed group, that person may still be oppressive or rude to people of other groups. However, through the very nature of its philosophy, Gamut is definitely welcoming to many gamers who do not feel welcomed or safe in most 'mainstream' gaming groups, including queer folks."
Thanks for adding it to the list! I've included you in the LGBT-friendly section since you are very clearly including us in your policies as opposed to just saying you welcome everyone without mentioning us specifically. I had a hard time distilling your inclusive policy on your website down to a blurb since its quite different and more involved than most out there. I think the final phrase of your above quote captures it best? Let me know if that doesn't work and I'll find something else.
And yes, the list got huge. I'm still a bit awed by how far its come since the first post a couple months ago which included about 10 groups. :)
