Temporary Ultros General Chat

Emergency Maintenance is a good thing, I get to take breaks and get food and all that. :) Good launch so far with playability and trying to fix issues!

Uhhh, you might not want to publicize that on the forums. The NDA is still in effect until Launch. SE tends to hunt down this stuff, and since you posted a link, it is probably best to not stream it until launch.

Sadly only issue is the Duty Finder dying to so much stress from so many people trying to do their quests and instances. Otherwise, still a good time!

Yup issues with the Duty Finder. Can't do the main quest. Painted Mesa is bugged and can't do my Marauder quest as well. Have to wait for the other Maintenance I guess. Hope they fix it! :)

Eh, I guess it's good that so many have positive attitudes. I don't think one should "need to get their mind right" to have fun in a game. :P

It's somewhat funny. In most MMORPGs I play I have no interest in guilds (because my friends and I make a small one for ourselves) and despise guild spam. For FFXIV the plan is to join a guild to have more opportunities. And there's almost no guild spam going on right now!

Need to find a NA guild that's ideally PST, relatively mature, with few/no idiot flagged players, and that'll be doing whatever endgame ends up being.

"idiot flag" if you're not familiar is giving your avatar a "clever" / dumb name, blatantly ripping off popular media, etc. We have Miley Cyrus, Kanye West, and other "celebs" on Ultros! Along with Jack Mehof and other wonderful folks. I'd rather not have anything to do with players like this. I wish MMORPGs had visual ignore so I could just mark them to be blacklisted for both chat and viewing.

Public chat has been brutal too. Rape jokes, gay bashing, and more. Things I expect in F2P but not so-much in a premium game that should have GMs. Great stuff from the "community." I see lots of folks here and elsewhere saying what a great server we're on...and I didn't think this game had instances or phasing for zones so I'm surely experiencing something different. I guess the "good" tend to not stand out as much as the loud and obnoxious types.

People complain about subs but I'd honestly pay double to play on a "mature" server with more intense GMing. I guess I'm getting old(er) - I have an increasingly low tolerance for stupidity.

world full anyone? sigh...

what happened to the queue? i would much rather see i was number 3000 in a queue than have to somehow magically figure out when the world is not full
