Fantastic Red Mage Artwork

It's a little risque, but we've all clearly seen worse. I'd prefer shorts to it ala FFXI so that looking sexy isn't the entire point of the outfit. I don't think you have to be gay or a feminist to not want characters looking like they're going to the beach during battle.

I kind of disagree with this. I'd like to see a RDM of the dev team's own design, not based off of fan work. However I would like it to look just as good, if not better, which I have every confidence will be the case.

That says "Magic Swordsman" not "Red Mage."

Red Mage is 赤魔術師. (lit. Red Magic User or Red Magic Technique User)

Magic Swordsman is 魔法剣士.

Nice artwork all the same.

Good to know! I'm all for a rune fencer as well =D

Even these pictures are something I would see Yoshida holding up in one of his Live letters or Gaming Events. I also think this artist is protecting himself by saying its XI artwork when it (could be) XIV just by looking at it.

From a past player's poll I remember players asking for more Hybrid Classes/jobs. So it wouldn't be a surprise if Red Mage shows up as Rune Fencer/Muskateer/Gun Mage.
