thx for making the Atomos event unwinnable

It's just because people are lazy. I have like 40 people on my server at it and we don't kill it because people just stand around and do nothing. The white mages raise people and then they just stand there and don't fight. I'm a BLM and I pull aggro off of EVERYONE with just a few spellcasts... no one is putting forth effort.

it obviously has a big impact on people who missed the initial seal rush, since caravans are understandably quite deserted now since everyone got all the seals they will ever need and more, and the only real sources for seals (Atomos and Caravans) cannot be solo'd.

Still very much killable on Sargatanas unless you're very unfortunate and play at a completely dead hour.

the only efficient source of seals now is buying the crystals from the wards from people who hoarded while it was still an "exploit". That is to say, caravans are deserted, and Atomos is very boring/slow, and you could hardly call it gameplay, plus it's not a gauranteed success. But again, buying the overaspected crystals from wards again serves to reward those who were able to profit from SE's initial oversight, and also serves to place hurdles in front of those players who didn't. If atomos event cease, I wonder whether people will struggle to do get seals from caravans with most of the population no longer needing the content.

I suppose SE don't really care much considering the imminent closure of the server anyway, but still, they might as well let players harvest the seals at a rate comparable to those who exploited initially then.

Well yes, and those people are now being doubly rewarded as their pockets are lined with even more gil from players purchasing their overaspected crystals, since farming gil/buying crystals is the most efficient source of GC seals presently.

On sargatanus the crystals go for around 10k each. 200 crystals will get you capped seals, so you're looking at around 2m.

This is easily farm-able in a day (or a couple hours of SBing if you're lucky). considering the power in a lot of the LT gear this is pretty cheap. if you've been diligent you probably have most of your gear, and you can probably get everything you want/need from GC for around 2-4m and cap your seals. Exception being if you want all LT weapons. but then you have all jobs at 50, so you probably have sufficient income from something to be able to afford to buy crystals.

only other point is to cap seals, which is still 2m. so i'd say that's pretty good. I myself will likely farm Atomos off/on to hit seal cap and then buy remaining crystals by the end of the week.

Actually, I got the achievment right after the first nerf, but the fact they made the event far more difficult for the latecomers isn't right. The only reasons I still do it is for extra crystals/seals, and also to help out the people who still need it. See, I'm not a parasite, and I don't agree with the whole "I exploited this event when it was easy and got what I wanted, to hell with anyone else" mentality that some of the people on this thread seem to have.
