I loved the original mini-game, so I'm agree, it could be fun on FFXIV
I actually would like for the cards to be sellable... Also how do you make it tradeable but not sellable? What's stopping people from "selling" through the trade window? All you do is inconvenience people that way.
Added Tradeable/sellable to OP along with possibility of having some RARE/EX cards (some good boss cards etc)
YES please please pleeeeease put in Triple Triad!!! I would pay a monthly fee just to play it lol.
Oooh, yes please.
I like the Final Fantasy card games, I do. (Though if I ever see the Random rule I'm running for the hills.)
With other mmos having collectible card game options and FF already having Tripple Triad set up from FF and it being said that they want to have lots of FF stuff from previous games in FF14 2.0, DO THIS!
Developers, PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS! Your fans make the game. They will make this game a success. The OP is right here. People would log into ff14 JUST TO PLAY TT!
MAKE IT HAPPEN!
I'd like to see this as well, if you generous devs have the time. Maybe not at 2.0, but sometime later? And if you do, take out the rule change function. That made the game not fun.
I LOVED Triple Triad in FF VIII. However for an MMO the card game needs to be a lot deeper. As for the concept of having our own trading card game in game to play vs npc's and players, complete with trading/selling and even competing in ranking leader boards and tournaments, how could I not love the idea. I can imagine a play in XIV's Golden Saucer dedicated just to let players spend hours away challenging each other.
I would love for them to make their own original game with an emphasis on card variety to really make each players deck shine powerfully yet be unique, like Magic/Yu-gi-oh/pokemon ect. no cookie cutter builds. Triple Triad suffered from a bad case of "Must use" cards and "Sure win" deck strategies.
An original card game similar to YuGiOh.. I can get behind that. But I'm just saying "Hey SE you have this card game and it works so um... why not?"
I loled to Goobbue card being overpowered (best card with all A) and then the famous Grass with all I loool :x
Now with the OP ideas and some others here I say yes, please. Make that happen :)
